Prince Edward County, Ontario I J&C Toronto

Introducing Prince Edward County, or “The County” as most folks living there would refer to it.
It's a quick little day trip from Toronto and is as picturesque as a Norman Rockwell painting.
Why go to The County?
Do you like food? Of course you do! PEC has been called “the gastronomic Capital of Ontario”. There are so many restaurants and cafés to choose from. East and Main (eastandmain.ca) consistently comes up as one of the best places to eat in Wellington. Hipsters swear by the food at Drake Devonshire (www.thedrake.c.... And if you like wood fired pizza, most wineries now include this delicious offering on their menus. (Jon & Cheryl have always said that you shouldn’t trust someone who doesn’t like pizza.)
Do you like antiques? PEC is a wonderland of shops filled with "dead people’s stuff". Our favourite was Dead People’s Stuff (www.deadpeople...).
Do you like wine? Tyrion Lannister himself would approve of the plethora of wineries. From the larger Sandbanks Winery (www.sandbanksw...) and Huff Estates (huffestates.com), to the smaller Rosehall Run (www.rosehallrun...) there are too many others to list here. (Just ask for a nice Dornish Red.)

Hi J & C: For some reason, I missed the notification in my mail, but I'm glad I've found your video. It's excellent, and I love the production and effects. And it's also very nice for me because .... I was born in Picton. So, I feel like I know the County almost-inside out. Your clips of Wellington and Bloomfield were lovely, and even though it was a rainy day, just being alone with nature at the Sandbanks can be so calming. BTW, before it was a provincial park, the beach you were on was known as The Outlet. The sand dunes are a bit further north of the beach, fun to climb, but do be careful of poison ivy. It's everywhere in the woods there. When you return, please consider going up to the Lake-on-the-Mountain. It's so pretty up there and there is a great little restaurant. And a drive beyond that to Cressy is always a pretty run, but anywhere in the County is pretty. It's interesting that there are so many wineries there now, but at one time, the County was home to something like 20 cheese factory, so lots of dairy farming was around then. I hope you'll go back, in nicer weather, and have a wonderful time. Thanks for such a nice video.
