Prince Harry has reportedly offered to return as a working royal on a limited basis for the duration of The King's ill health.
According to Kate Mansey, assistant editor of The Times, the Duke of Sussex would be willing to step in an attempt to reconcile with his father.

I really like Kate Mansey and she’s usually very balanced but I can’t make head nor tail of any of this……Harry…lots of warm conversations with the King? Harry coming over to the UK to “help out”? I honestly don’t think that it’s just some members of his family who wouldn’t be keen on that idea, I don’t think that large swathes of the British population are too keen on him these days nor perhaps a fair few politicians. He has trashed his family and he did that whilst his grandfather was dying and whilst his grandmother was ill and grieving for her husband too. Even those in their 30’s were shocked at how he betrayed his family’s privacy….for a buck…in Spare and Meghan’s curtsy in the docuseries was just the final nail in the coffin for so many people. These things have been nothing to do with the British tabloids, it’s been out of their own mouths on film and on paper. I think that's nice of him to offer to help out, but I think it would be a big mistake for the Royal Family. A person doesn't insult one's family then change overnight - unless they want something desperately. Harry spoke of unity of family during illnesses, but then "the proof is in the pudding" - i.e. Meghan's refusal to let her father see his grandchildren, which I think is Meghan being a really cold fish.
