There's Prince and then there's the rest of the music industry. That's how much I rate him and the influence he had over the music business. Prince 101 is I Wanna Be Your Lover, Dirty Mind, When U Were Mine, Controversy, Let's Work, 1999, When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, I Would Die 4 U, The Beautiful Ones, Raspberry Beret, Kiss, Mountains, Sign Of The Times, If I Was Your Girlfriend, I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man, Alphabet Street, Batdance, Thieves In The Temple, Gett Off, Cream, Diamonds and Pearls - And that will only take you up to 1991. It is a lifetimes work listening to Prince and then conveying the meaning of what his legacy means to humanity.

I'm proud of you for paying attention to the lyrics and catching onto the word play--horses/trojans/jockeys. Prince was an extremely prolific songwriter and composer. I loved his lyrics and he would often incorporate clever double-entendres. So glad you enjoyed this song. It sure is a banger and there's plenty of others he wrote that I think you will appreciate as well. Congratulate yourself on discovering Prince and for having excellent taste in music!

I love to see a young person who is unrestrained by their age and can appreciate music created way before their time. Prince was a prolific songwriter. There's so many songs to love and hate. He went beyond making music....he was 🎶. Watch his movie Purple Rain and also listen to his song by the same name.

The director for the video wasn’t accustomed to Prince’s spontaneous dance moves, so when Prince took off from the microphone and dropped into a split they freaked out because he disappeared from camera view, and they had to reshoot it😂 His songwriting is amazing. People forget that Prince was a composer as well. We had our own Mozart in our time and still haven’t fully recognized him as such. It makes me happy when I see young folks experiencing Prince💜✊🏽

I’m glad you’re discovering him. Just to make sure it’s known to you as a new comer to Prince. He wasn’t an addict, he was in physical pain from years of doing multiple splits in heels and so it was an accidental overdose. Like with MJ there has been speculation of foul play.
