Prince is not an underrated guitarist. He's an underrated MUSICIAN. Guitar, bass, drums, keys, it doesn't matter what you put in his hands, he would show how it was meant to be used. Whether a person likes his style of music or not is irrelevant. The word gets thrown around a lot, but he truly was a musical genius.

@zerep112 жыл бұрын
For me Prince was one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. And what made him so great is that while you have guitarists like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai with their extra-fancy Ibanez's with Floyd Rose Tremolos, Signature Pickups, Special Effects Pedals, etc., here comes Prince with a standard issue Fender Telecaster with none of the above, yet could outplay them and countless others combined. Heck, I even saw Prince embarrass Eric Clapton live on stage just by his playing. In short Ladies and Gentlemen, *PRINCE* is what a "True Master Guitarist" is. With much love RIP Prince.

Prince doesn't get as much attention for his guitar playing as other greats, but Prince was a monster with the axe and could hang with anyone and took second fiddle to no one. Listen to him playing on "My Guitar Gently Weeps". He is one of my best guitarist of all time. Let me also add, his performance during the half time show of Superbowl XLI was the greatest in history of the the SB IMO. This man played during a downright downpour and refused to not let the show go on. He went out against all calls to cancel. He did not. Best half time show EVER.

You gotta do his Superbowl half time show AND his performance with an all star group of musicians for the posthumous induction of George Harrison's induction into the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame.
