The late, great Jim Michael presents compelling evidence that the Welsh settled in North America.
Rare 1997 footage kindly provided by Lee Pennington of the Kentucke Historical Association of Jim Michael methodically taking us through the written and physical evidence for the migration having taken place.

Thanks to the Kentucky Historical Association. Well presented and fascinating. How can the establishment deny the existence of Coelbren. He hit the nail on the head when he recalled how a group of so called academics refused help to decipher as they were being provided with a large sum of money to prove it was not Coelbren.

This was very interesting. I wish that there was more research done to discover Madog's travels through Alabama. Which is where I have roots. I spent my early years 20 minutes by interstate from the Coosa River and didn't learn of Madog until the '80s. My own belief is, the powers that be don't want anything found to legitimize the Madog legend.

Of course! That’s more than a belief. That is a REALITY. Divide et Impera. They still teach the bogus nonsense in school of Colombus discovering the “new world” in 1492 😆 tho he never stepped foot 🦶 If you’re lucky 🍀 you’ll get a teacher in USA that says “Leif Erickson” but thats still not far enough. How could there not be a vested interested in keeping us enthralled in ignorance and stupor? What if the original land of America was much more rich and powerful in culture and history than the dumbed down masses and mainstream level academia and media purports to show… What if it was the original holy land? What if many of our ancestors were direct descendants to this? How would this change things? How would knowing it, the truth, empower us to set us free? Would empowered, culturally and historically informed people ever accept the gross state of human rights violations/indentured servitude and deception omnipresent in the world right now? An original 1776 slogan to the American revolution was “We have come here to establish New Israel!” But was scrubbed from the textbooks by 1900. See how that could be combative with a lot of competing and suffocating ideologies? 😂

So glad I watched this. I spent a couple of years documenting the Ordnance Survey benchmarks around Flintshire. The marks were cut into permanent structures for the purpose of mapping the contours of the land using triangulation. The horizontal cut is used to insert a stave, which is then used to calculate the exact position. However I couldn’t figure out why the the lower, arrow shaped cuts were needed. I believe the the horizontal cut was added not only for mapping purposes but as a symbolic depiction of ‘laying the tombstone’ over the old traditions

@@FireInTheSoul Yes - very sad what they did to Penrhys. It used to be one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Britain and very important. I keep meaning to put a video up about it and how Ponty bridge seems to tie in with it. Fabulous views from up there as well. I was up there for the Easter pilgrimage a few years ago and shot some great video I need to share. I will make sure its back on the to-do list.

@@BritainsHiddenHistoryRoss the history there is vast, I grew up in Penrhys and Hendrefadog, I've been researching these parts for years now, the hendrefadog estate that has been knocked down I find of great interest. It has been wiped from our history here, but the street names tell a story, also there used to be a big old school in hedrefadog that they knocked down, the older folk there used to tell me when I was younger that there used to be a winter Palace there and they built the school on the old site. I've never been able to find information to confirm this as yet. There is also a supposed old roman fort (I don't think it was Roman, it was Cadwgans of the battle axe, his Fort in Abergorki) up on ystrad mountain, on the old ordinance maps it's marked as "house platform." There's also a farmhouse called Tyntyla that Owain Glyndwr supposedly stayed at with Cadwgan of the axe....I have alot of research on all this as well as the pilgrimage sites up in Penrhys. I find it so interesting, sadly I don't know many people around here who share this interest. Its frustrating. I love these uploads, thank you 🙏

I’m curious are you familiar with the Ah- when symbol discussed in the video. /|\? It’s a Coelbren symbol. My search and reasoning is trying to determine the difference in the Red Dragon and the Red Crouched Lion. The dragon is a symbol of the four fixed signs. It's also what is encoded into the griffin.. The face of a man, Aquarius, paws of a lion, Leo, the body of a bull/beast, wings are for Scorpio, which was also depicted as The Eagle... It's also mentioned or described in the book of Revelations. These four zodiac signs are an amalgam, that seem to pop up everywhere. Even Egyptian descriptions of Serphis.. And the polar star was looked at as the center of heaven or throne of God.

You said dreams i had a reaccuring nightmare every night from 8 years old till i hit thirteen of a red dragon terring my roof apart trying to get to me.My grandfather before he died would take me aside and tell me my name is very important dont let anyone mispell it. Just know your name is more important than you will ever know. I never put any of this together until i started learning the arthurian legend. After i carved my last name into a round table that i was making. My last name in celtic means awaiting the return of the king of the island. arthur one of the arthurs was born on tintagel when i seen the documentary on the island ,i felt like i had been there before. I knew the layout of the castle and rooms before they even showed the foundation including the stone.Ive seen that place before but ive never left the states. My family tree is all documented to being and owning a 1000 acres of green a 100 years before the country was formed.near by is the great surpent mound gio owned another peice of land in iowa guess what is located very close near by another surpent mound.now the absolute bombshell to all ive found out i cannot say on here but is 100 percent shocking and paints the entire picture pls contact me i would love to peak your interest more before i convince you there is def something to what im saying ty for your time if you read this. When I was a blacksmith apprentice in 1977at Devonport dockyard we were told the chevron symbolised government property primarily naval, that it had been used since the battle of Agincourt and represented a broad arrowhead . This seemed plausible and as every tool I made or used had it stamped by a punch hit with a hammer . I'd read Tolkien years before and thought it a bit Runic ideal for straight line symbols, easy to do with a flat chisel and 3 taps from a hammer 🔨 with the hot metal on the anvil. Then saw same symbol on granite milestones. We English are masters of recycling ♻️even our own history perhaps. It appears on all ministry of defence property and is hard to remove as intended 🤔 To purloin tools a grinder and welding equipment would be necessary and 5mins of their use after which 'a little coat of paint will hide a multitude sins 'my instructor advised me to make my own to begin with. 😉

The description of the Piasa and its discovery by Marquette is utterly inaccurate. The modern replacement for the Piasa is based on a European dragon, so of course it looks Welch. However the original Piasa, which was depicted by two eyewitness professional artists in the 1840s, is clearly Chinese. It corresponds in detail to a memorial at the Nanjing boatyards erected after the 1433 Chinese expedition to N. America. Furthermore, the record of the expedition's exploits in America, including the construction of the Piasa, has been translated into English by Laurie Bonner-Nickless and recognized by a number of China scholars. Read TO THE GATES OF FENGTU and CHASING DRAGONS THE TRUE HISTORY OF THE PIASA SECOND EDITION.

Um no! This has already be proven that The “Welsh” came via the med, and maintained their culture from the Middle East, whereas The Saxons went through European taking several hundred years to discover Britain, by that time The Saxons were effectively a different people. The closest to the original has always been that of Wales, hence why they want it gone or absorbed. Always found it strange that white peoples are called Caucasians yet no one ever wonder why or how they were already in Britain, the only explanation is a massive migration as explained by the records.

So. Much. Wrong. There is so much misinformation in this presentation I couldn't possibly mention it all, but here are a few things off the top of my head: - The "monster" is most definitely NOT a Welsh dragon. - If Madoc lived in the 6th century then none of the "evidence" from the 12th century means anything, and vice versa. - The family tree is just wrong. Meurig and Onbrawst did not have a son named Madoc; they only had Athrwys (Arthur) according to almost all genealogies. - The stained glass in the church is not Meurig's "family crest": it is the arms of Gilbert de Clare. The woman in the image below is his wife. - The arms at Cardiff Castle are also those of Gilbert de Clare, and there are displays and plaques stating as much in several places. - Chevrons do not always have any special meaning. When used on pottery they are almost always just decoration. - The Welsh are not particularly tall or blond. - There is absolutely no reason to believe that exposure to a handful of tall, blond people would result in an entire tribe of tall, blond people 1000 years later. Genetics doesn't work that way. - Why would Madoc have gone to Mexico and NOT taught them the Welsh language and then go to North America and teach it to them? - You can't just look all over the world for something remotely similar to something else and claim there is a connection. I grew up in a tiny town called Long Lane. While travelling in England I stumbled onto another tiny town called Long Lane. That doesn't mean that people from one went to another country and founded the other. This video, like all I have seen on the subject, is just grasping at straws to try to prove something that, even if true, is most likely unprovable.

There are good articles out there about the racist roots/ connotations to this Madoc 'myth' (against Native Americans), including all kind of Mormon nonsense (Mormons were/ are incredibly racist towards Native Americans). This is some kind of American revisionist BS, please let us not associate with it. We Welsh have enough cool stuff in our mythology without our legends being co-opted by other cultures. I know that it's exciting when other cultures notice, but we have to be careful about HOW it's being used. Let us not associate ourselves with this.
