he stopped at the right time, he dished out 37 whoopins and only caught 1 himself, and clearly because of age, absolutely one of the greatest of all time

Age? How old was he when he retired? Sub 40 fights mostly local record padders. He fought a warrior gatekeeper to the top talent and wanted no part of it.

He retired at about 28. More to do with the problem he was having with his hands, saw some specialists to sort the problem out had one low key comeback fight after Barrrera which he won but he retired shortly after. The hunger was gone, he had made enough money and he had issues with his hands.

His defeat wasn't because of age, it was because he met a real warrior, from one of the mighties Boxing Nations in the world

I think Naseem is underrated , I would have loved to see him and Floyd fight, I have never seen anyone at Naz's weight hit with as much power as Naz and I have never seen anyone block and weave like Floyd, what a fight it would have been, honestly think Peak Naz was the only guy I think could have potentially beaten Floyd, but I think it would have been a 50 -50 fight would love to have seen it

Prince was a must see and a Joy to watch definitely the most entertaining boxer of all time and so underrated because he wasn`t American and didn`t fight much in the US but he is a legend in the UK and the Arab world that whole era of the 90s of sport in total was legendary .

Naz brought the money to the division, without Naz Floyd would have been nothing. Floyd also said that Naz is the only guy who could beat him. Floyd came at the end of Naz's career

He was able to wash the European boxers three times and no one could defeat him , and then he arrived in America, he was in the last days and his wrist did not bear the strength of this man's punch, legend and enjoyed the audience more than Floyd, and Floyd was not with this power, he only had a good defense.😅

He was class. Can remember watching all his fights years ago. There was so many good fighters over here in the 90’s and he was one of them. But as he went through his career he needed to have more defence but his style left him open

The strange thing is Hamed went down a couple of times in is career but they were him going down and not the opponent putting him down, yeah sounds strange but he never had is feet firmly on the ground they were always on a crazy angle so he could put those shots in, when you spin on a cent a push could send you over without any damage but that's how he rolled

Money destroyed Nas later in his career.. He thought he knew better, stopped taking advice of his long time trainer, stopped training properly for fights, eventually sacking his trainer Ingle. He admitted himself, he hardly trained for the Berrara fight and some say Berrara was on the juice in that fight too.....Ultimately Nas beat Nas in the end

Check out "Ben (The Surgeon) Whittaker" he's a young fighter with a similar flare and showmanship to his style. His son Aadam Hamed debuted recently and got recruited by his father's promoter Frank Warren, his style is different compared to his old man though.

So funny when you say... he doesn't look that strong... He's from my home town of Sheffield and looks like every little shit you'll ever meet there, fights dirty, like everyone else, difference is, he got into a good gym (Brendan Ingle was a fucking legend) and got a good promoter. Hope he's doing ok now.

Naz best fighter of all times . even when he lost his hand was injured and did not make weight until weight in day . he was offered alot of money 10 million to fight Berriera and he said it was his mistake to take that fight because his hand was injured and he did not have enough time to make the weight he regrets taking that fight but the money offered was too much for a feather weight ,

It was well documented that he stopped training before that fight, he enjoyed the celebrity lifestyle too much. There was a big rift between him and his trainer and he pretty much did as he pleased, it was his downfall in the end. Also he was a bit of a knob outside the ring too, i used to hear a lot about him in the media as im from Sheffield myself. There was one time where he was in a hit and run. Here is a snippet from a report... Hamed was convicted last May after the McLaren Mercedes sports car he was driving at 90mph smashed into another vehicle, leaving the driver with every major bone in his body broken and injuries to his brain. Rescuers said his physical state was "like soup". The court was told that Anthony Burgin's "fantastic life" was destroyed by the crash. Witnesses said Hamed had been driving "like a maniac". He fled the scene as Mr Burgin and his wife Claire lay trapped in the wreckage of their car. He was arrested near his home as he tried to leave in another high-powered sports car. He served 16 weeks of his 15-month sentence and was released in September. He had previously been banned from driving after speeding at more than 100mph.

That last fight to be fair to Hamed against barerra he only said years later he was injured in the hand leading up to the fight and never trained but knew he didn't want to cancel the fight, 4 days leading up to the fight with no training he piled on the pounds and had to lose it before weigh in. He was burning it up on a cycle the sauna, treadmill so by the fight came around he always said I knew I was beaten before the bell because he put it all into losing the weight

Floyd deserves all the credit for his defense no doubt about it but naseem might deserve more. To fight with his style you have to have ridiculous defensive reflexes. Hands down, chin out, throwing wild punches is crazy in a sport like this. If he buckled down on proper technique he might of never got hit like floyd. But then again you wouldn't get what you got out of naseem. Puuuure entertainment

Understand that Prince Naseem was much more than a power puncher. He also had insane hand-speed, defence, upper- body movement, footwork, combinations, ring iq He was an extremely complete fighter All this on top of the fact that he had this crazy style + the charisma + he was a southpaw (who could also switch at times), made Naz one of greatest of all time and a serious threat for all featherweights.
