I love that she's more upset by the fact that the Prince is perhaps dead than that she's talking to a human-tiger.

Oh, forgot to mention, the Dreamcast is also missing a lot of the Prince's in-game dialog, and in game cutscenes (like the guard checking on the cell after the Prince escapes). A minor gripe, since it doesn't effect gameplay. If the two versions were combined into one great version, I'd be happy. :)

Yup, it's called Prince of Persia: Arabian Knights, and I have a complete playthrough of it already. It fixes the fighting system, runs faster, and gets rid of the slower going up/down slopes animation. Making for a better playing game. It also has new weapons, the flame sword, death sword, ice axe and sheild sword. But it's missing the double blades and staff weapons.

The Dreamcast, however, is missing Lower Dirigible Part 2 and Floating Ruins. It's also missing the more gory death animations and finishing moves (that barely worked properly anyways). Don't know if it's an oversight or censorship. It didn't have the battle music either. The game does play much better, is much more fun to play, and is much more accessible (in terms of availability and stability). So it's content vs polish/gameplay. I personally prefer the Dreamcast version overall.

Yeah, the combat in this game is seriously broken. Thank goodness they fixed it in the Dreamcast version.

@elbryan42 Ever played the actual Arabian Nights (on the PC)? It's a game that's VERY much like Prince of Persia 3D (but it controlled better) and it was sold in episodic format (one of the few that was sold that way at the time, I believe).

It looks like they used this for the blueprint when they were developing Sands of Time- kind of fascinating. It even has the same kind of background music, that sort of arabic-flavored techno electronic mood music with female vocals. Even the prince holds his sword when fighting in the exact same way. Looks like the technology just wasn't there yet, that and I heard it is one of the buggiest games ever made. That combat looks absolutely atrocious though. Guess they just didn't have a good grasp of how they wanted it to look.

@foahchon Oh, I've played the game and the combat is, like he says, broken. This can result in either rediculously easy or rediculously hard battles.

I'm so bothered by the techno "Deus Ex'like" constant base line, the Japanese soul-disco-eque fighting scenes. Oh well, at least they experimented and learned to reach Warrior Within with music

@WeirdUniverse It's a rather decent game. There fave been much worse sequels. Like *shudder* Bubsy 3D (Horror movie scream).

@elbryan42 Been there, done that. I own the game as well, for I really like the POP-games. I didn't know there was a Dreamcast version of this game as well.
