In my opinion, the dark atmosphere, the gore, and the desperate story line suited prince the most. The other games were great as well, but if they come back to this, i wish that the maturity of WW comes back with it. I mean... The scene, where prince finds out that he basiclly created the sands, when he says: "I am the architect of my own destruction", was one that I will remember forever, just amazing and immersive story.

Yep it died actually. Did you know that Assassin's Creed started from an idea about Prince of Persia game and it later evolved to what became the first AC? Seems like the idea about edgy warrior-assassin in the hood from Warrior Within gave rise to one of Ubisoft's most successful series.

Warrior Within is the best PoP game. Neither Sands of Time, nor The Two thrones, nor any of the following games come close to this one. The other games were fine, but what appeaaled to me is the dark tone of this particular game. And of course, the soundtrack is nothing short of pefect.

not so long ago I installed Prince of Persia 2, started playing and when choosing the difficulty (and I went through this game up and down 3 times), I caught myself thinking "that I'm not some kind of pussy" and chose the maximum difficulty, and when I got to the middle of the game I felt that it was so much harder for me to play it play in terms of fighting))) I have not been able to pass it at a high level of difficulty in my 33 years)))
