That’s exactly what Prince told everyone! He held a sign up that named his music company unalived people. Told us either u buy the old Prince albums and give them the money or my new name formally known as Prince re recorded songs and pay him. You see I’m a lot older than most of y’all and my bestie back then was a major fan of Prince. I asked her what was going on w his antics and the name change and when she explained it to me I was shocked and thinking about MJ and him having problems not being paid either it was just too sad and I realized they weren’t being eccentric they were facing life or unalive. I’m going to tell you the latest one who had their catalog sold out from under her and she’s the one and only Miss Taylor Swift! Scooter Braun, the lowlife you see in the film of the actual time along with Usher that Justin was handed over! All 3 of those men! Diddly, Usher and the bigwig Scooter Braun all there in the 5 minute hand over of Justin. Taylor was no dummy though. She got good advice and started re-recording her music from album #1 with the name change “Taylors’ Version” Soon after Scooter stepped down as CEO of HYBE. Now he’s with HYBE in South Korea I think. Have you ever heard Taylors version Vigilante $-*T? Listen to it please!!! It’s all about what went down. Go educate yourself. Taylors got kahunas and I think she might have 1-2 albums left to re-release and they’ll all be hers bc she does her own work and owns every dime on it!! Sincerely if you do nothing more go listen to vigilante $-*t!

Prince was such a REAL dude. I went to school with his much younger brother. Prince was _so_ loved by his community here in Minneapolis,Minnesota....our whole city showed up when he died, from the event at Paisley Park to the "wake"/celebration of life at the iconic club First Avenue that he made famous in the movie and video for Purple Rain. J, I'd love it if you could do a video on his passing, who the characters were around him at the time, and if any people in his inner circle were directly connected to Diddy, etc. That's probably WAY deeper than what you'd feel comfortable doing, but even a short video looking into connections would be so appreciated.💜 Love this last video, man. You just keep getting better!🌟

Tyka and her family, kids & husband, were living in Dallas and did not have money. Yes, Prince told Tyka that he was done, & did not believe he was going to live much longer. Probably, Prince had trouble getting painkillers because no doctor wanted to be accused if he died, so he ended up with dangerous street drugs. Prince had longtime injuries from performances. I always liked Prince’s music, so followed a lot of his life. He was so grounded & intelligent in interviews & believed in GOD, unlike many celebs that seem to worship demons.

The thing is, with Prince… The industry couldn’t deny his talent. As a musician myself who plays multiple instruments and has a five octave voice, it is a rarity to get a musician that is a genius on every instrument he or she plays. I can play guitar decent, but not great… piano was my first love and I can play that well, but can’t read music. I can play drums decently and bass I think is easy for anybody to pick up. Not to master though… prince could play all of these instruments, proficiently. He was a master at everything he touched, because of his discipline. To find somebody like him, who can not only play all of those instruments and sing decently… But he also writes and produces everything. Which was part of his original contract when he signed on at 17. That he would write and produce all of his own music. Which was amazing that they gave him that rider in his contract. Especially at such a young age. So, obviously somebody there at Warner music, saw his talent and realized that they have a once in a decade or more musician on their hands. Unfortunately, the music industry will give little gifts to the people they signed to a contract, but take away the artists masters, and ability to own their own music. Prince on top of everything else, was an incredible businessman. He knew how the industry operated and knew that owning and controlling your masters is the only way to control your career and future. Because then you don’t have to answer to anybody except yourself and your audience. You have total control over every aspect of your career. Which the industry does not want. Because they want to control the people under their umbrella. If they can’t, then they can’t manipulate them. Artists make all of their money on touring. It used to be that they would make a dollar from every album sold for $18 back in the day. But when album sales fell to the wayside and singles and streaming happened, they were making fractions of a penny on the dollar. If your song gets 10 million streams, the Artist will get a check for hundreds or if they are lucky and their contract is better, maybe $1000 or a little bit more. Whereas, after paying the crew and taxes and any management you might have, touring will pay you a decent amount. Let’s say an artist makes $1 million in ticket sales at one show. The company that sold the tickets gets a percentage, usually 10 to 20%. You have to pay to rent the venue, which is usually depending on the size of the place and the staff needed to run it… Could cost $50,000 or more. Then you have to pay for all of the trucks moving the equipment and the people driving them, on top of the people that load your equipment in and set it up. The techs for each musician on stage, sound guy, lighting, insurance, gas, and transportation rental. Hotels for everybody, transportation for everybody to get to and fro. Catering, which may or may not be provided by the venue. Merchandise, the people to run the stands for merchandise. I’ve heard a lot of bigger venues now are actually trying to take a cut of merchandising from the Artists, which is absolutely ridiculous. Which is only raising ticket prices, along with greedy ticket vendors. So by the time that the artist pays for all of these expenses and then pay taxes and management. They are probably looking at $150-$200,000 in their pocket from that million. If they are lucky and it’s a sold out show at a huge arena. If they have an opening act, they have to pay them also. So needless to say, when people are enraged about ticket prices… blame the record companies. Because if not for their greed, artists wouldn’t have to make all of their money from live concerts. And it’s very expensive to put on these shows. Know that when you pay these prices, you are truly supporting the musician/s on stage. Because that is where they get the majority of their money. When you stream or buy a song, they see fractions of a penny when you do so. I could write a book on how record company screw over artists and purposely put them in debt so as to hang a cookie on a string but rarely ever let them touch it. That signing bonus for $1 million that an artist might get to sign to a record company… It’s not free money, it’s a loan with 100% interest rate. When they go into the studio to record, the artist pays for it. Any advertising or staff, the artist pays for it. The industry uses these loans in order to enslave the musicians with all of the talent that are making these companies all of this money. If the artist gets the upper hand and the industry can’t control them… Let’s just say that is why so many of the great musicians aren’t around anymore. Michael, Prince, George Michael… all spoke out against the industry, and they are no longer with us. Do you know that when George Michael died, with all of the hits and albums that he released and amount of records that he sold, was only worth $20 million. He said so in an interview. He sold billions of dollars worth of music, he wrote all of the lyrics, played every instrument for the music and recorded and mastered all of his albums himself. He did all of the work and yet was only worth $20 million when he died. 20 million out of billions of dollars he made the record companies. Which was the same gripe Prince and Michael Jackson made. You figure, even if they made a record company $1 billion… They would at least get a quarter of that… Nope. 20 million out of 1 billion is only about 2% of every cent, he made the record company. And I’m sure he made them more than $1 billion. So it’s even less than that, probably less than one percent he was paid. If they can’t control you and you are huge without them, you become a liability to their way of life. Therefore, they will cut their losses and make sure that you don’t record for anybody else ever again. Control and money using you for every last cent you can make them. Then discarding you like you were never on the face of the Earth. Or destroying your name so it’s worthless to anybody else. i’m sorry for the book for anybody who has to read this, but I want people to understand how the industry operates and why it’s hugely unfair and not even borderline but completely illegal. But because of the money they have, they can persuade the courts to always rule in their favor. The George Michael case is a perfect example. So you guys understand why artists are now charging so much for tickets. It’s truly their only source of income next to merchandise.

Well Jamel and friends… I was aware of Tygas passing… but until today it hadn’t dawned on me that she passed on Diddys birthday?!?!?! Am I the only conspiracist out here? Was she one of the pizzas that Diddy wanted taken out?! It said she was ill, but what kind of ill? Inquiring conspiracists want to know. 🥹. May Tyga R.I.P.😇

Does make me wonder, another huge pop star supposedly died of 'heart failure' on Christmas Day 2016. His manager within an hour of the news being made public was saying 'Heart Failure', Because this man died unexpectedly, there was a post mortem and coroners report that took 3 MONTHS to complete, with the verdict...Heart Failure! How did the manager know within a couple of hours but it took the coroner 3 months? Another pop star that had fought with his record company years before, Sony in this case. Makes you wonder...worth more dead than alive?

Honestly as her brother I believe he didn’t do music with her so she didn’t have the rights to it taken away.

Prince personally told me that he was dying. I started crying. He said, "they were putting shit in his painkillers." This was no accident. Fentanyl.

But why didnt she speak up when Sinéad O'Connor announced she had been beat up by Prince during one of her visits with him? His whole family turned on her even denied her well earned rights in the industry. 🤔🤔🤔 Dont shoot the messenger go look it up your selves. Not saying her words are false but they do appear to become selective. You either against ALL or you are not. Thing is she is no longer able to defend herself. I apologize for that but i believe 100% tha Sinéad told the truth. There is more hidding in the details no doubt. Keep digging. ✌️😔

Prince did not become the King of Pop. There was no king of Pop before Michael Jackson's fans gave him that crown. Prince was the king of the Minneapolis Sound. The MJ vs. Prince madness needs to quit. They were both kings in their own right.

Wow. I did not know. Tyka died Nov 4, a few weeks ago, of cardiac arrest. She was 64. Lived in Minnesota maybe at Prince’s home?

Interesting that she died on Diddy's birthday. Her and Quincy Jones.

yoo i always knew she looked familiar!. Prince's sister was actually on a episode of Empire where they did a Birthday party for a Baby in the show "Bella" with a Prince Theme'd Birthday Party. They performed Lets go crazy and she did a whole Cameo! She just passed 3 weeks ago due to cardiac arrest or other Heart issues. 😧

I just checked out her song "End Of The Road" & it was really good. I haven't heard anything else, but she could have definitely made big, especially since she was Prince's sister. She could have ridden that all the way to the bank, but I suppose the substances got to her as she was saying in the video clip.
