Never scared. He was talking about God even when you didn’t know he was. I admired and even envied him for his strong and never failing faith. It was so beautiful on him and I wish I had half as much.

The past 2 years have been some of the hardest of my life. My ex girlfriend left me for another man. I lost tons of weight, couldn't hold a job, was on the verge of suicide. I started taking sleeping pills with alcohol just to sleep a few hours and when I did, I had nightmares about demons fighting to take my soul... And out of the blue this song appeared to me and I fell to the ground crying. It said everything that everyone else was too busy or too important to say to me. I truly believe Prince spoke to me and saved me. From the lyrics, to the melody, to the solo... it was a miracle. Sometimes music is the only hand out there to hold yours. I still struggle. I still cry. I still miss her. But I have so much more strength now. Prince Roger Nelson was a true angel of music. A work of God. Thank you prince

You had to see him live. A 20 piece band playing everything, an audience that was the coolest mix of humanity. We were lucky to see him a half dozen times. Prince never charged much for his tickets - way less than groups like The Stones or Elton. But he delivered in his live shows with a mix of every kind of music and dancing.

I was there in Dortmund too. Friday, Sept 9, televised all across Europe. I got a scalpers ticket. Maybe $50. I was stationed in Wiesbaden, Air Force, Lindsey Air Station. After the concert, I drove to Amsterdam and got a hotel room. Next morning, I walk around the city, Prince's show is all over shops/stores.
