Prince was for grown folks not kids back then. His lyrics were always top notch and he wrote EVERYTHING. Maxwell, Miguel, DeAngelo and others were greatly influenced by Prince and they will tell you that. Others have mentioned you should listen to Adore, unfortunately there is no video but it's worth a listen, truly a Masterpiece. Adore was considered the "Black Love National Athem" in the 80s.

One of the consistent things I notice when men react to Prince, (when women are also watching) is the man's attempt to break the spell that Prince has cast on the women. Hey Fam! Prince was a musical and lyrical genius. Here are a few of his songs for you to check out, "International Lover", "Lady Cab Driver", "Adore", "Head", and so many more that had "adult" content. Prince definitely made music for adults and didn't care about titles. He just wanted to make music his way, and he did. Michael was more dance/pop and that is what the world expected of him so he had to steer clear of the outright "sexual" songs. Hence his title The King of Pop". Hi folks. This song was released back in 1991. It wasn't a shocking video compared to say Madonna Justify My Love video and how other artist of this day are. This was a video that was in heavy rotation on BET Video Soul back in the day. This is a second tier prince ballad. Others have pointed out Scandalous. But if i had to list the best seduction type ballads With You, Still Waiting, Do Me Baby, International Lover, The Beautiful Ones, Electric Intercourse, How Come U Dont Call Me Anymore, Adore, One kiss at a time, When 2 R In Love,. Now there's a whole other genre of Ballads, not seduction type, that are exceptional: Condition of the Heart, Nothing Compares 2 U, Sometimes it Snows in April, I love you but i dont trust you anymore.
