Prince William and Princess Catherine walk to the Dog & Duck pub in Soho, London. The couple took the train to Tottenham Court Rd and then walked the short distance, with their motorcade following behind.
The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the pub ahead of events for the Coronation of King Charles III, with many pubs holding parties at the weekend.
Their royal highnesses spent a few minutes in the pub before greeting crowds in the street. They then departed in a Range Rover under police escort, having taken the Elizabeth Line earlier in the day.

The "working royals" seem to be so hard working. Every one of them put in significant time just making people feel good, with no drama. We all can use a little glamour and pageantry, just like when we were children, because it's a lovely escape. Kate has a smile that can light up any one's day. People like to whine about the cost, but I think they are worth every penny. I'm so happy for people who are in the UK to experience the coronation. The rest of us can enjoy it through TV, and we will use that to escape all problems and worries for a little while.

If I wanted to go the pub for a quiet pint I'd hate to be watched and greeted by people fawning everywhere. I truly understand how hard it is for the Royals not having the same freedom in their own city, or indeed anywhere, without being recognised and needing security around them. Most people enjoy such freedom to come and go and take this freedom for granted. We all should be grateful for this gift of anominity that Royals can only dream about. God Save the King.
