Prince William is a serious person who behaves professionally whenever he is performing official business duties as part of his Earthshot Prize initiative. It is no surprise to me that other philanthropists and investors line up to be a part of this project and want to help fund it. Princess Catherine stayed behind in England to attend to her own work. I thought Richard Kay was quite disparaging about William! I felt that even if it was scripted he was an excellent ambassador for the Country. Richard Eden as much kinder in his assessment. Hard to equate being philanthropic and having to make a living out of the things you are being Philanthropic about! Love the accidental description by Richard Eden of Harry as being a non- person! If that assumption is correct then would I be correct in assuming that family closeness and loyalty matters to you. Harry was not treated differently to William by his father. It is a fact that the eldest child in the Royal family becomes King or Queen, Harry grew up knowing that one day his brother would become King and that he was free to pursue a life either undertaking Royal engagements in a supporting role to the reigning monarch as many other members of the Royal family had done; he was also free to carve out a career for himself.. For a number of years Harry undertook engagements sometimes alone and sometimes accompanied by his brother and sister in law. After his marriage where everyone welcomed the fact that he had found someone to share his life with, he began to change. His wife had not anticipated that she was expected to work and that great privilege comes great responsibility. She enjoyed the privilege but not the responsibility.. After they quit the Royal family, the betrayal of them began in his book where he revealed the most intimate personal details about not only himself but also about other members of his family. In the Oprah interview and subsequent television appearances both Harry and Meghan showed total disrespect towards the Royal Family including his grandmother, our late Queen; it was a disgusting betrayal of his family. No matter what his mother had or hadn’t done, after her divorce she maintained a respect for the Royal Family and almost without exception it is agreed that she would have been saddened by the way her younger son is behaving. If you actually bothered to check the facts you would know that Diana was far from being totally innocent. All that you do by mentioning Harry’s defence of his mother is to encourage ordinary people like me to set the record straight - you cannot demonise Charles and make Diana into a saint. There is enough independent evidence on the internet to educate you on the facts about the relationship. Harry was 15 days away from being 13 when his mother died 26 years ago and William was 15!! Everyone seems to forget the fact that she was Williams mother too, the boys shared their grief, to suggest that it affected Harry more than William is doing a disservice to William’s feelings. The fact that Harry is still using Diana’s death to account for his actions is indicative of the fact that he needs proper therapy to put things in perspective and to move on with his life.

Thomas Markle was rightly saying that both he and King Charles are being deprived of their grandchildren. One has to be careful about a sweeping statement of English French friendship There maybe a detente somewhat although the EU and Macron have tried our patience lately both regarding Brexit and immigrants in the channel. The history books are riddled with conflicts between us for many hundreds of years. And i can remember DeGaulle's attitude to us post war after England had given sanctuary to the Free French while the Vichy French ruled a Germany conquered France. We understand the French psyche and the country and people. We like the food wine and lifestyle. But friendship? Commercial convenience holidays and holiday homes yes. Admiration of fashion and chic yes. The Gallic temperament is a heady wine to consume all the time. But at the diplomatic level one could moot the idea of friendship🙃

I don't think Prince William is necessarily shy, OR awkward, even though he may come across that way to some people. His thoughtfulness, tendency to caution, hesitancy to speak without planning what he's going to say - all sound like classic characteristics of an introvert. Introversion is often confused with shyness. I think his introversion, good intentions and sense of duty will make him a great King. Right now he's in training and seems to be improving rapidly in his public persona.
