In middle east it is PMP which gets preference over prince 2, please change that, another difference is PMI is much more professional over axelos , PMI holds strong control over the authorised training centre ,but AXELOS lags on this far behind PMI. In PMP project manager is the centre of whole project management with more power, but in PRINCE 2 ,project managers role is more like a project cordinator ,maximum control over decision making goes to Business leader or project board

I truly enjoyed watching your video. In my opinion, people who are thinking about earning their PMP certification need to be aware of the cost, time, and effort need in order to be successful. I’m sure some people have the misconception that they can just cram for the exam without learning the concepts and he or she will be successful. In addition, one might assume that having PMP certified in their tittle or on their resume automatically makes him or her a great Project Manager. Thank you for sharing the points of why one should not become PMP certified.

Thanks for a great video to breakdown the differences and similarities, however I worked in the Middle East region for 8 years where the project management standard was predominantly PMP. PRINCE2 was not even mentioned.

Prince2 that you are referring to is 2017 or lower ? Does Prince2 need PDUs to attempt for the exam ? How much is the renewal fee ? What are the pre-requisite for renewal of certification ?

Hi Ankush - SKILLOGIC is first to offer P2 2017 in India. So it is P2 2017. PRINCE2 doesn't require PDUs to take exam.

Last point under difference saying PMP is not flexible is totally bull crap. Infact most of the points under PMP mentioned here were incorrect. The presenter has no idea about pmp.

Yes, fully agree. Presenter is Prince2 cert holder and therefore in very obvious way favorize Prince2. It has no idea about PMP at all. Harder, more difficult, no way to pass with 70-80hrs as he said but minimum 300hrs etc, etc... Bull shit!
