6 Reasons why your retouching is not improving. 1. You are not taking good enough pictures 2. You are zoomed in on your pictures instead of zoom out and retouch 3. You depend too much on plugins (external plugins from different brands) 4. Know what you want to do before you start retouching. 5. You need to have a "good" graphics tablet 6. You need to practice constantly and be patient Great lists Prince, thanks alot.

Hey Prince, i am Georges, a young senegalese photographer. I have been following you for a while. I like your tutorial, your accent. The most thing i like in this channel is that you mostly colorgrade and retouch black skin. So i can relate to your channel to gain knowledge about all that. I wish i could text you directly or mail you to know more about shooting and retouching. Thanks

Photographer from Zambia! Love your videos. You're the only photographer I could find who mostly works with dark skin and your tutorials really help.

My opinion is Time is key to getting better; I feel like that's why some retouchers don't shoot even though can and know how to; they have to dedicate time to creating amazing work.

Great comments. If I were to add a "Tip #7" it would be "Always learn and try new techniques." Watch other retouchers, watch lots of tutorials, and most importantly try out new techniques. It's really easy to get stuck using the same techniques over and over again. This was a big problem I had. But after finally biting the bullet, and buying some paid retouching tutorials (PRO EDU, Retouching Academy, Creative Live, etc..) was i exposed to new techniques I would have never though of. Learning multiple ways to do the same thing is really important. It's like having certain specific tools in your tool box. You may not use each tool every time, but every once in a while you'll find a use for that one specific technique, and you'll be glad you had it in your toolbox. Plus it helps you to think about different ways to approach common problems. Instead of "Problem A requires Tool B," you can start to think like " Well, with Problem A, I could use Tool B. But Tool C would also work. And actually Tool C will be the quickest. But a combination of Tool B and C would be perfect!" So experiment with new techniques, try different ways to do the same thing. You might find you prefer some techniques over others. That's okay. The most important thing is to always be learning.

I'm really lazy when it comes to retouching so I make sure the model and makeup are on point in camera. I just don't want to spend a lot of time retouching

There are soo many factors. from the models, the Make up artist to the lighting the modifiers, the cameras and lenses then the retouching. There are so many factors that determine how an image will look at the end
