I also had similar idea that Grape is actually one of the production worker who works at Sparkle Theater and hope she can be the star of one of the play but the director refused the script written by Grape because it all just tradegy and the theater supposed make audience happy The envy inside Grape causing the power make her a witch（by wearing that mask，the mask might empower her negative emotion） and her negative emotion that make her so piss because she only work behind the scene and no one will remember her just made her advance to 2nd phase and the ending will same as you said，peach forgive grape and ask her become co-star with her，while the director noticed although Grape causing a lot of terror but make the play even better because it got twist and enhanced the effect of happiness kinda sad she just an evil witch and that itXD
