I bought one of these about a week ago. Works well. It can get clogged up if you are over eager and try to force too much material in too quickly. Dry material chips nicely. Wetter material doesn't seem to chip as good. The gap on either side of the cutter head seems to be a downfall. Small twigs and debris can get wound around, not get chipped and jam things up. Again, patience is the key. It'll do what it is supposed to but give it some time to do it.

Tottaly agree, i've tried to chip bark and dried thicker weeds doesnt do well with those.

I tend to feel that at least for the smaller stuff, a chipper/shredder works the best as I've seen smaller debris not getting chopped as much compared to the larger branches. What made you choose this model compared to a chipper/shredder?

that is pretty impressive.

Generally speaking, are you pleased with this 196cc engine size Chipper from Princess Auto? I ask because I am in the market for a Chipper now, and have seen these at P.A. but as usual, the staff there don't know if the sun's shining or not! :)

Its not the best chipper, but for the price I'd say its the best your gonna get($800). If you can can get it on sale go for it. The biggest things i dont like about it is, it doesnt chip thin branches or anything leafy, since it doesnt feed well the small stuff just accumalates and goes in at once jamming it, clearing a jam is awefull, you have to undo the 4 bolts/nuts holding the chute and you dont have the best access while holding the chute and the nuts arnt welded to the frame(basically a 2 man job if you want to do it comfortably, but some small modifications can make it easier), it doesnt feed you have to push everything, and last it can stall out pretty easily if you feed bigger stuff aggressivly. I know that sounds negative but if you get it with realistic expectations for a smaller property its fine. If you have acres of trees to clear out and dont have direct access(a flat path, or trail) get something else. For cleanup of branches and general property maintenance for under 2 acres Id say go for it. But as always you get what you pay for...

Motor to small but it does work it would have been nice to have had a 12 horse 🐎 motor she then would bust a move but as long as you take your time it will do most branches

@@keith2915 This is what I was wondering, as it a smallish engine size for this application, I thought. Thanks for this.

Unfortunately my SD card got corrupted and I lost all the unboxing footage.

You seem to be chipping old dead trash. How would it work with fresh hardwood branches?
@gfeher27 Жыл бұрын
If you keep the diameters small should be ok, but it will stall easy if you shove too many small branches in at once or over 2 inches of fresh hardwood. You just have to watch your feed rate.

this thing is 110db extremely loud, why dont you wear ear protection? and also why do u have ur kids or sitting kids outside like that with also no ear protection, they are young and they are close, thats very loud for a child too. maybe your hearing went bad but that doesn't mean its okay to damage the kids ears. slightly serious, I didn't notice this before now but they are right there and ur being loud, its as loud as a chainsaw and u dont want ur kids a few meters away listening to a chainsaw going and cutting with no ear protection, sorry. wild
