Harry's father was understood to want to streamline the monarchy, cut costs and reform a system of patronage seen as anachronistic. One year on little has changed starting with Charles who paid no Inheritance Tax and his eldest son inherited the Dutch of Cornwall estate from him, which means that William nor his wife have any incentive to work as he will earn approximately 24 million p.a. from that estate. Charles and Camilla have taken over at too old an age and William and Kate inspire no one. If you like boring that's your choice. I personally would rather spend a day laughing, joking and having a good time rather than an hour with William and Kate. As for scandals - the palace have an agreement with the press so that no 'scandals" are emerging just yet. However, now that the Firm are advertising for a CEO it will ruffle many feathers and that's when "palace sources" will start feeding the press with information. Watch this space ........

Diana would have been a better Queen, but Kate runs a really close second. Since Charles was such a douchebag and treated Diana with such indignity and disrespect and ripped that potential from Diana before she died, I think Kate is a perfect New people's princess/future Queen, and really does the memory of Diana justice. Just as long as history remembers Diana as the O.G. people's princess who paved the way for the ability of both the royal family and the public to accept a "commoner" into the top tier of royal succession. Camilla is 100% UNDESERVING of the title of Queen Consort, and puts a dark stain on both the royal family and the memory of Diana by her very presence every second she's still there. And I'm of the opinion that William should have been crowned King, rather than Charles, and the same opinion when it comes to Kate, she should be Queen Consort next to William as King. Neither Charles nor Camilla deserve to be the Ruling Monarch due to the scandal they created and the respect they lost from Queen Elizabeth.

Diana was the daughter of an Earl; her title was Lady Diana Spencer and a descendant of the Royal Stuart line. Her siblings had Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother as Godparent. Those kinds of people aren’t commoners. There’s a book written by Lady Colin Campbell called “The Real Diana”, which I suggest you read. Everything you’ve written here is inaccurate. Our Monarchs ascend in accordance with an Act of Parliament. William wasn’t going to be crowned over Charles, unless Charles had been incapacitated prior to ascension; that would have been illegal. Of the backlash of her not being a good public speaker, I think her effortlessness and natural charm on speaking with the people at the walkabouts totally makes up for it. It is lovely to see that after her 12 years of marriage and motherhood, she has grown more and more confident. I watched their wedding on tele and I remembered I was teary eyed and had wished them well as I thought they were very good for each other.
