Another aspect is that when they are approving of her style they are happy to show who they are but when attacking they remain anonymous. The last thing is that while ever she was walking without a problem in the new style she was ignored but after tripping she was being shot at I feel this symbolizes the fact that as a celebrity (and a woman in particular) every minor hiccup or stumble is cause for the person to be torn down and ridiculed.

As always love your genuine reactions and how much you support BLACKPINK. Finally after 3 years we get a mini album and 4 new songs from them. You know how YG can be and I also understand that the producer Teddy (who also was the main producer and guided LEGENDS aka 2NE1. He was like their supportive big brother) wanted to make sure he made not just “good” songs for BLACKPINK, he wanted to create amazing songs for them. Also, YG in the end chooses the songs that make the mini album and the title track. Teddy is also the CEO of the subsidiary label from YG, the black label. It must have been hard for him to juggle so many things, but he worked just as hard for BLACKPINK. Did you also know that if you put BP’s the song “Really” lyrics next to WINNER’s “Really Really” it’s exactly corresponding with each other? Seriously the lyrics is like an answer to each other. I’m not even a WINPINK “shipper” like that cuz I only see them like playful teasing big brothers to BLACKPINK, but I think that’s cute that the songs match in that way. LOL. I hope BLACKPINK won’t disappear for a year again. IKON and WINNER has been quite consistent and successful with their comebacks and will be putting new music out later this year. I’m happy about that. Now all we really need is Lee Hi, Suhyun, and rapper ONE to legit comeback or have sub-units or something! Especially Lee Hi, baby girl has been doing music festivals and Japan concerts with the same songs since 2016. But lovely lee hi will sing new songs she has composed herself at music festivals despite no updates of her comeback. *ahem* YG 😩 Also, YG talked about debuting his new boy group and girl groups this year too..or maybe introducing them at some point..maybe that YG hip hop collaboration. But YG has “A LOT OF PLANS”, let’s see if he follows through this time. We also have confirmed things too! Seungri’s solo comeback coming really soon! IKON’s new album is close to being done, Mino’s solo album being finalized, and there’s Yoon and BI solo albums too.

Mind Of Mando well they did amazingly well in this comeback as well as IKON and WINNER in which we all know YG has plans for them to release more music and possibly mini albums this year. So BLACKPINK might comeback as well after them. I have a feeling it might be set up like this: July: Seungri (confirmed by Seungri) August: either IKON comeback or Mino’s solo album September: either IKON or Mino’s album LOL! Not sure which one yet. YG announces YG artist collab (the possible hip hop unit that he talked about within current YG artists or hopefully vocal unit collab) October: WINNER comeback (cuz its their anniversary month of when Team A became WINNER) November: BLACKPINK comeback December: LEE HI PLS!!!!! btw here's my understanding of the Jisoo scene. At first she's there in person (as in she's a real person just like you and I) but the people are only focused on the image of her seeing her only through the medium of the internet etc but as soon as she makes a mistake they use that internet/social media as a weapon to attack her as a person while hiding behind the mask of anonymity. very powerful i think.

Dude every Blackpink video has embedded symbolism. The one with the most is Playing with Fire, every scene is scripted and non random. Stay and Whistle also have a lot of it in their MV. You can search it. Korean cinema is surprisingly complex and mv's follow that tradition.

With Jisoo's falling part, I think the person on her shirt is famous feminist Gloria Steinem (could be wrong) and I wonder if the pink bob is multi-faceted. A nod to feminism, pink because of Blackpink but also maybe a nod to Park Bom and/or Minzy from 2NE1 who "fell" and were turned on by fans and media - hence the phone guns. It could also be a shot at paparazzi who are only interested in you if you look like the poster but will also make money from you (rob you) if you make a mistake in public. Lots of potential meanings. Great to see them in a Blackpink video. With Rosé's pedestal moment, I note that she's looking up at herself. i think the people taking pictures of the big picture of her were just focusing on her image, the idea of her that is put out through promotional stuff, etc. It wasn't until she made a mistake and fell that they really paid attention, and they did so in a negative way. There's a feminism movement in Korea right now apparently where women are cutting their hair short, standing up to the beauty standards that are set. In the scene they're taking pics of the "beauty standard" version of Jisoo, as soon as she trips they turn their phones to her, the guns signifying that they're using them as weapons, because any negative thing no matter how small blows up there, and they basically are using it to destroy her for not living to that standard. The song is about empowerment for women, the person on Jisoo's shirt in that scene is also a powerful LBGTQ activist I believe.
