Congratulations on the excellent content in your videos! In 2023, we went on a Princess cruise to Antarctica, and this year, we’ll be doing the 14-day Caribbean itinerary. Last time, we didn’t make any reservations at the specialty restaurants because I assumed they were an additional cost. So, we ended up having all our meals at the buffet. 😅 If you could kindly answer, I would greatly appreciate it: Were the restaurants and meals featured in the video paid separately, part of the Princess Plus/Premier package, or included in the standard fare? Our experience has been that some lunch menus on Princess vary regularly. We had a dessert that was excellent on one sailing, only to find that it was not available a few months late (same calendar year, same ship). There are lots of seemingly "regular" items, but don't get your heart set on something in a video only to find that it isn't available on your ship or your week.

We are on the Coral Princess May 2025 Alaska cruise. This video was EXCELLENT!!! Your detail description of each dish was superb. I was salivating over many of the dishes! This might be strange, but I could almost see myself in Alaska eating that grilled cheese and tomato soup. Fantastic video!

I was on the Regal Princess back in in November. The menu looks pretty similar. It also has a number of similarities to the HAL lunch menu. I like having some changes in the lunch menu as having the same menu all of the time would be boring after a 10+ day cruise. Another great video

Everything looked good (except that weird bun) 😳. Not serving that beautiful grilled cheese with a side of tomato soup was a crime though (IMO) 😁. I will always go for the club sandwich when offered, and the one you showed has prompted me to start a grocery list to make some soon. With the wonderful lunch menus offered in the MDR, I would definitely go there instead of the buffet. Thank you for the video. (And Joanne looked very pretty in her white peasant blouse!

Ah yes absolutely a hearty tomato soup would've been the great pairing with that tasty grilled cheese sandwich! And that was a really good club sandwich as well. Definitely the dishes here were more meticulously thought out than the buffet, though as you'll see in an upcoming video, Princess does have some fancy offerings for lunch buffet, especially the next-to-last day. I think the abundance of maple syrup with the chicken & waffles is because it’s also the sauce for the chicken - like having honey with fried chicken. Lovely to see Princess dining - I was a shipboard secretary/purser for Sitmar, before they were bought out by Princess.

I LOVED Sitmar!!! My all time favorite cruise line! Wish they were still around! Our family cruised the Fairwind and Fairsea....They just don't make amazing ships like that anymore... the smaller HAL and Princess ships are the closest I have ever found, but still are not as AMAZING as Sitmar. My most memorable experience was a 3 week RT from FLL on the Fairwind in September 1978. After leaving the San Blas Islands, we sail right into Hurricane Greta/Olivia and the ship listed crazy port to starboard for hours. While all the adults we sick in their cabins, myself and many of my teenage friends all ran up and down the halls... ON the walls, jumping from one side to another as the ship rocked. We were young and dumb and oblivious to the perils and rudeness.... as purser, you may have gotten complaints about us doing that. I deeply apologize to all who we so rudely ran across your door/walls as you were trying desperately to keep it together in such a serious hurricane!

@@ValerieAwesomeAdventures I was on your cruise! I joined Fairwind July 1978 as Ship’s Secretary. Before that, I was an occasional Children’s Counselor on Fairsea (1976-77.) Then I alternated Secretary/Purser between Fairwind and Fairsea. The Secretary greeted repeated guests at the Circolo del Commandante repeaters party (we had to keep pax names in order to match up with the complimentary photos with the Captain.) Sitmar was the best!

That is SOOO AWESOME!!! I still have pics of our cruise from the ship photographer. Pics of our family with the Captain on formal night on the staircase, and all us crazy teenage girls on the same staircase. Also me winning the costume contest... I made my own palm tree out of a large cardboard box, and lots of tissue paper. The Counselor on our ship was super sweet, I remember going up there in the afternoons to get ice cream, trying Rum Raisin for the first time up there and falling in LOVE with the flavor... and she was sweet enough to make sure we had it a few times. NOW, the most memorable part of the cruise was of course going through the hurricane after leaving San Blas Islands. Looking back, I feel bad all us girls ran up and down the halls, across the walls and doors and jumping to the opposite wall as the ship went the other way. I never realized how dangerous or rude it was.... but at 13, young and dumb, I thought it was a blast.@@barbara4482

Lunch menu looks exactly like Holland America's which is awesome, cause I LOVE HAL's lunch menu! The Mac n cheese, if it is the same as HAL is my favorite food on HAL... but HAL calls it Beecher's Mac n cheese. The double chocolate tart is the BEST dessert you can find! The Calamari is another favorite of mine on HAL, good to see that Princess has it too Time for me to book a Princess and really compare! :-)

For sure quite a few similarities, especially with the tacos, omelet, quinoa bowl, mac 'n cheese, fries & calamari as you mentioned. Princess has a few more selections, plus some unique dishes, while HAL has the same lunch menu for every sea day. HAL does have several unique Dutch-themed entrees. Thanks for the comment! 🙂

I was on the Regal the Regal Princess in November and just got off the HAL Eurodam. The food in the MDR is very similar between the two lines although the quality of the steaks and beef is much better on HAL. The buffet on Princess has a much larger variety and is in my opinion, better. I would strongly recommend trying several lines and seeing what they offer. Do realize that on Celebrity and HAL that the experience can really vary depending on the class of the ship. The Eurodam is not the same as the Konigsdam and the Millenium is not the same as the Apex.

Both have very good MDR dinner food- gonna say it's a tie there. The older Celebrity ships don't have the best buffet. The newer Edge-class ones do have good buffets, and they compare well with Princess, with better meat quality choices vs Princess, though Princess has slightly more seafood.

They did indicate some entrees as vegetarian, though not specifically vegan. That's a trend we're seeing on several different cruise lines lately. But some of the dishes are probably vegan, just need to ask a crew member to be sure.

How much food were wasted to make this video? The woman ordered so many plates in each same outfit so apparently they were all ordered for the same meal. I would assume she just took one or two bites of most of these plates. Does the cruise line even allow one to order more before the plate is cleared? I really hope they don’t.

I have seen quite a few of your videos and generally like them, however you seem to be heavily biased towards the same seafood and especially deserts which does not show a proportional viewpoint, also your wife really needs to read up on what she is eating and in a lot of countries outside the USA it is insulting to cover your mouth up, it looks like that you are spitting food out, about to throw up or you have a problem with false teeth, otherwise keep up the good work.👍
