November 27, 1988 - At a Bicentennial dance and dinner on Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne, Australia. Prince Charles and Diana danced to the tune of 'In the Mood' played by the Australian showband. Diana wore a full baby pink strapless taffeta dress decorated with blue flowers.

You don't know what you are talking about. They are JIVING. To do it effectively, then the two people act as counterweights, balancing each other, They throw each other outward and then pyull in together again. That is how it is done. There is just ONE PROBLEM. Diana is wearing a long tight skirt which is totally unsuited to THIS type of dancing. It means that both she and Charles are taking very small steps, and doing a lot of spinning on the spot. If she was wearing a full skirt, they would be putting on a much better show.

Paul Linnane, Your comment is wishful thinking. At this date, 1988, they were in Australia to mark the Bicentenary of the founding of Sydney and European settlement in Australia. What they are doing here is putting on a very GOOD SHOW. They are simply collaborating because in fact they were unofficially separated and had not shared a bed for four years. Dina, at this date, had had at least four lovers, brokn up the marriages of two of her employees, and was in the middle of a five-year relationship with James Hewitt. Charles had spent 1984 and 1985 in deep depression, and then returned to Camilla, having been faithful to Diana for the first five years of the marriage. Diana, here, indicates her amazing ability to be utterly charming. She looks totally gorgeous, she is a stunning dancer, and no doubt, by the end of the dance, every man in the room was in love with her.

Charles was a fool to let her go, but then, we can never know what it was really like in their relationship, just like you can never really see what really going on in any relationship, not really, even if they are a couple that is in your immediate family. Sad, yes, that they did not make it as a married couple, but then again, we were not involved in their personal life, so we can never know what went wrong. They did have 2 beautiful children together, and those boys are two treasures for society, both are loving and carrying people. God bless them both.
