It is disappointing that there is simply no principles shown by all the characters...And the script does not credit truth, goodness and honour ..The bad ones get away with doing really evil deeds and the 'good' ones also have no sense of right, wrong nor what is legal and illegal n try to use 'sugary n sickening sweetness' to mask and excuse evil ...If a society lauds ' more love ' to ' rehabilitate' n further spoil bad characters ...how can the society get rid of corruption, people doing bad deeds but get off just because they say the are just doing it for money! Or they are sorry! That is a cop out n no excuse ! This very warp n twisted values actually ruins an otherwise interesting drama ....and if this is the popular storyline....the people in the drama is a very sad commentary on what is acceptable, in the larger Chinese society n teaches a very bad lesson indeed.....

This story doesn’t make sense to begin with Cai fan’s mother could easily take her daughter and run away after all she didn’t need her husband she earns money on her own Why ruin her own life and ruin others It’s a silly plot to begin with She chose her husband instead of her own daughter that’s her own karma
