You my dear were by far the best! All the other you tubes channels I listened and watched. People were complaining about how nobody was saying the names correctly. You were by far the most informative, and thank you for having the speeches so we could read. Great job indeed. MAY GOD BLESS YOU 🙏!

Thank you for pronouncing names correctly! I subscribed just because of your correct pronunciation of names and words. It hurts my brain to listen to mechanical voices mispronounce so many names and words.
@TheRoyalCorrespondent2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bev! I hope you're doing well and thank you so much for subscribing. :). I try pronounce names and places correctly, but I admit at times I mispronounce names, especially Greek names. LOL.

@@TheRoyalCorrespondent - :-) Mispronunciation happens at times, but for a well-educated person grounded in phonics (as I was in grade school in the early 1950s), it doesn't happen too often. In my case, I do genealogy research in old records in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, and took two years of Norwegian in the early '80s; the three languages are mutually intelligible (each language has three extra vowels)..., at least in print. I admit, spoken Danish defeats me because it's too guttural (I can distinguish a Danish accent from the other two countries when people speak English), but I can still remember enough modern Norwegian to understand very simple sentences in Norwegian and Swedish (emphasis on "very simple"). Once I found the correct records in Norway, I discovered the written records are in old Dano-Norsk (as a result of history going back to the black plague of 1349 which also affected the language as well as government rulership) and had a new genealogy research "learning curve" with regional dialects, interchangeable letters of the alphabet, and regional spelling; I'd learned one of the two modern versions of Norwegian. I also have ancestors from England, the Netherlands, Alsace, and Ireland. When I can, I try my very best to get spelling and pronunciation of names of people and locations correct for my genealogy records. I may not always succeed, but I do try. I listened to Princess Ingrid Alexandra give her speech in a different video. It was highly amusing for me when she switched to English in the middle for the benefit of all of her guests... and spoke very quickly with an American accent...! She spoke Norwegian with the same quick staccato phrasing. (Her grandfather, Harald V, spent some of his time during WWII in America so he speaks perfect English.) I am so grateful to the countries of Europe that teach English as a second language from early grade school through college. I always know I can communicate with them via my own native language since I'm now too old to learn a new language. The US sorely misses out by not teaching second languages. I haven't gotten into Greek..., but I do know suffixes and prefixes of many medical terms, in particular, that are Greek, and yet other words with Latin origins, particularly French. Etymology is an acquired interest that comes with genealogy research, as is cartography. :-) Happy Summer Solstice, Happy Summer! :-)

I adore this site and your voice is most excellent! Just one question... any particular reason why the British monarchy are positioned last in your videos? Admittedly, I haven’t seen many, but will!
@TheRoyalCorrespondent2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronnie! :) In regard to your question, there's no particular reason for placing the British royal family news last in several of my videos. It just happens that way, I suppose. :). Also, thank you for watching! I really do appreciate it! :)
