5:17 That’s my problem with Super Princess Peach tbh. You’re reward for 100% is infinite vibe energy. When you’ve already done and completed everything in the game. Puzzle pieces, music scores, mini games and all. That and it requires you to find every road to fight bowser instead of like 80 or so like every other Mario game. You should only need like a majority of the toads to finish the game, then finding the rest gets you infinite vibe mode, which you can then use to 100% complete the rest of the game.

You should see Xenosaga Episode 2. There's a persistent sidequest in the game and the reward is a super powerful attack for KOS-MOS. To accomplish this task you need to do EVERYTHING in the game including beating the final boss multiple times (it drops an item that gives the most money in the game and you need to sell the item over a dozen times to get enough money to finish the task). So you complete the sidequest and get the attack. For what? Just to use it against the final boss again because there's literally nothing else to do in the game.

Something I find cool about this game's finale is Mario defeats Bowser and leaves him be, Luigi seals away King Boo and leaves him with E. Gadd, but Peach just goes with the nuclear option and vaporises Grape.

By getting all Sparkle Gems, you find out there’s 15 more after you beat the final boss and by spending all the Sparkle Gems at the store, you can decorate the theater as renovations The hard part is actually finding a game that I don’t like I would never play Hard Mode for a first time playthrough unless I know that I need to be on Hard Mode

11:30 No I disagree I never play hard mode out the gate. I already don't know what I'm doing yet. Why would I make that harder on me? Hard mode as a reward is good if I feel normal mode isn't a good enough challenge. But the latter comes first.

Regarding the general 100% reward thing, I do generally find that just some nice presentation is good enough if the journey itself is fun, and locking out a really good reward behind it kind of bothers me, especially in the case of something like Luigi in galaxy 1 where for years I had no idea that was even a feature since I was a dumb kid who would just think "oh I got enough stars, time to fight Bowser" Also, regarding the flying star vs wing cap, to very slightly defend the wing cap itself, it's supposed to be somewhat of a challenge to use while the flying star is just a reward that lets you do anything......but it's potential to make gameplay interesting is still very unexplored

Ehh, I'll give a pass to that example just cause that mode was clearly designed for endgame level stats and materia builds to complete it. So I see it as more a NG+ mode. Whereas something like Fire Emblem 7 requiring you to play the game 2 times to unlock a difficulty that's not braindead easy is really tedious in practice.

On the "hate watch" tangent, the one point I kind of think is flawed is calling out "inflating Disney+ numbers," both because I assume a lot of people watch it via pirated means to avoid monetization (or through a borrowed account/existing subscription like, say, someone who likes Marvel but dislikes Star Wars), or they have the internal logic of "I paid for 1 subscription/viewing but multiple people taking my word will not, which is a net loss." That said, I also think it's irrational when the decision to watch/not watch something is just based on the brand (i.e. "It's Marvel/DC") than on the trends/styles involved ("Marvel is too quippy/DC is too self-serious"), which should be more on a case-to-case basis if it's criticism or recommendation rather than just an impression.

oh i get it, super sparkle 1 peach didn't win the first round because she was ki blast spamming, whereas super sparkle 2 peach was exclusively using ki beams, that makes sense. honestly? i feel like, unless the game has new game+ or something similar, then most 100% completion rewards end up feeling kinda useless outside of bragging rights. although, i will say, i do enjoy going after platinums whenever possible/i'm half-way there already, i don't know, i guess it feels slightly more tangible than a 100% completion meter? like, even if you delete the game the platinum for it is still there.

Shantae, yes. Cinderace, no. The chances of a Gen VIII Pokémon getting on the roster is low, due to how far off from that generation we are. It's one of the reasons why we never got a Gen III and Gen V rep, since didn't get Smash games when those generations were relevant. Even then Rillaboom is more popular than Cinderace, so he would be the more likely pick if we did get a Gen VIII Pokémon in Smash.

​@BHH71700 You haven't played every Lego game if you think that. The only other one to have that kind of "reward" is Lego Star Wars II, and that's a much smaller game. Lego Skywalker Saga, on the other hand, is freakin' Mario Odyssey size in terms of content. It needed something more if anyone's spending several hours gathering every collectible and beating every side mission. A playable George Lucas with jack-of-all-trades abilities would've been an amazing reward.
