KAWAII, “Cute” + KIREI, “Beautiful”+ “Talented”= “PRINCESS PRINCESS”! ”PRINCESS PRINCESS” was Kaori Okui ,( now Kaori Kishitani) Lead vocal, Guitar Kanako Nakayama Guitars Atsuko Watanabe, Bass Toshiko Konno Keyboards Kyoko Tomita, Drums “PRINCESS PRINCESS” debuted on TDK Records in March 1984 as "Akasaka Komachi". In May 1986, the band changed their name to "PRINCESS PRINCESS". In April 1989, they released this seventh single, "Diamonds", and It reached No. 1 on the charts and became the first million-seller. In July 1989, it was remade as the eighth single "Sekai De Ichiban Atsui Natsu(The Hottest Summer in the World)". This song also reached No. 1 on the charts consecutively, followed by their fifth album "LOVERS", released in November, which also reached No. 1 on the album chart for the first time and became a million-seller. They became popular in Japan as the No. 1 popular girls band . For three days from May 29 to 31, 1996, the last live show "PANIC TOUR '96 - Let's Play Dissolution FINAL" was held at the Japan Budokan and disbanded. The band has been active for 13 years, and the total number of live audience attendance has reached 1.9 million. In 13 years, 21 singles and 15 albums (including the best albums) have been released.
