Wasn't the title Princess Royal invented for Princess Anne?

In this case for another Anne - Anne, daughter of George II, in 1727. She married the Prince of Orange in 1734.

"tune originally composed by Turlough O' Carolan" - I've seen this claim made, but no actual evidence that Carolan composed Princess Royal.
