MPEXTMX [MAJOR SPOILERS. SPOILERS AHEAD. BIG SPOILS] because they wanted to show that not all happy endings HAVE to end the way we want. Yes, she had to turn back into a duck, and Mytho didn't love her back. But she was still happy because Mytho was happy. And she wasn't completely alone, because Fakir vowed to stay by her side no matter what form she took.

i would say it's more like she embraced her true form .... it's all about accepting and liking yourself for who you are, and not trying to be something you are not in oder to get closer to a person ..... at least, that's how i see it xD (also the duck form is my favorite .... so the ending was cathartic for me ...... and people that like you for who you are like fakir are the best ;) )

I don’t think that’s because they don’t want to show us a happy ending every time but Ahiru was a duck from the start and it’s not fair to leave her as a girl suffering love relationship
