Princess Yusupova was exquisite and very popular lady with a reputation of being generous and kind. Unfortunately, according to the Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna, she was an adoring but "tragic" mother who found few faults with her wayward sons and over indulged both with lethal consequences.

She is absolutely beautiful but I think one artist who truly captured her beauty was Serov in his portrait of her. In that portrait you forget that she was an aristocrat but all you see is a beautiful innocent woman.

I wish I could know more about her and get more pictures coz she seems like one of the most interesting historical figures but alas everywhere I look the only thing they say about her is that she was a spoilt heiress who was also a bad mother because she didn't teach her children any humility. Apparently her children were very spoilt!
