This feels like the saddest one yet! Sweetie is so close to acceptance! Now it's not the town and her friends that reject her, but it seems like she's rejected even the possibility of hope. I'm not gonna lie, hearing Sweetie say that she might be better off dead breaks my heart. I'm glad I saw that it's Destabilize 4a, because I don't know if my heart could take it if this was the end!

I hope she is able to find a way to co-exist with her robot half. This song also (at least for me) seems like her soul is giving up but her robot side is trying to protect her or save her in it’s own way. Originally her programming tried to delete her but I think at this point they can’t exist without each other. Perhaps the program knows this and is trying to keep her alive, but I don’t yet know if it is a parasitic or symbiotic relationship

The combination of Metal & Electronic mixed with the synth vocals just resonates with me and it's always a good time when BlackenedBlue is involved too. I have a theory on the sort of... Princewhateverer Lord of sweetie bot. Starting with the first song, it's obviously about discovering she's.. Well a robot. How she's just as afraid of herself as she is the ones around her. The second song, lost in data, is her more personal struggle between herself and her best friends, and what would be right to do in this situation that they are in. Either don't hurt sweetie and possibly let her suffer, or do and live with the guilt forever. The third song, enemy undefined, shows that they chose to not hurt sweetie, and now, it seems there's a new mob of ponies who want to do the job that bloom and sxoots couldn't do. However, even though her systems know they are coming for blood, she still can't see them as her enemies, they were her friends and family, and even now doesn't want to hurt them. The last song to me is a bit interesting, as code phantom, and the lyrics, almost seem to imply that sweetie almost... Wishes to die at this point, but something is holding her back from it... I'd like to think that the corrupted soul inside her... Sweetie bot, actually gained a sort of sentience, and is telling her that her friends will love her, even if she isn't a normal pony, and not to give up... Flooding her with memories and emotions to make her see that she can be ok... If she just holds on a little longer

The image choice make think that there's two Sweeties or she is 2, the ' infiltration module ' with low combat abilities but increased social paranei and a ' combat module ' that is the contrary. One deception the other for open warfare.

It appears that 4a is Sweetie Bot realizing that the violent part of her programming is an intrinsic part of who she is, and it would be safer for everyone if she died. 4b is said violent programming taking control, with Sweetie's ever-shortening bouts of lucidity being filled with her begging to be killed. Whichever ending is chosen, the final outcome is Sweetie's death it seems.

@@MetaL556 This is pretty much how it is in my head, where at the end of 3, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo stand in the way of the mob at the top of a building, Part 4a is where Sweetiebot sees the only way to save her friends is to take herself out, where 4b is the bad end where Apple Bloom and Scootaloo are killed by the mob and that is what made Sweetiebot break and go on a rampage, and I think that is because of the parts in 4b where Sweetiebot is crying covered in (her friends') blood. In the end, there has been no right or wrong answer when interpreting media that has not had the meaning set in stone.

As a neurodivergent person (havin BPD) this series has held a special place in my heart for years. I think most people with a different brain will struggle to feel as human as everyone else who is "normal" at one point or another in their life. Your music in general has often helped me to connect with emotions I could not have otherwise expressed. You're actually my favorite musician of all time. And that's not an overstatement (definitely the one I spent the most money on ^^;). I like all kinds of genres but for most musicians I only like one or two of their songs. You are one of the few exceptions. I am amazed at how I continue to love almost every song you put out. Especially the Destabilize series, I just listen to all of them again and again. I would have a really hard time picking a favorite.

Listened a few times to fully take it in, it's a song full of soul. I wasn't sure you'd continue the Destabilize series, was thinking about it recently and now it happened! Something very interesting: The alarm in the background sounds like a church bell while the guitar covers it, but when there's less noise you can tell it's an alarm sound... fascinating how you pulled that off. It says part 4a and the description suggests a continuation: Absolutely can't wait, this series is one of the most amazing you've made! If it will truly be the last one, am hoping it will have a happy ending: For some reason I can't help imagining something like the Glados / "the Cake is a Lie" song in your style and dozens of times more awesome.
