I really loved how Tamers made Soarin, I never liked Soarin and Braeburn's ship but with that story it began to convince me, in the song the intention is made clear that there is no turning back, you have come too far, it is follow or be punished, being really angry and worried about someone was not an excuse to kill.

Instead, we’re treated to what can only be described as the musical equivalent of stepping on a LEGO: painful, confusing, and not at all what we signed up for. Princewhateverer took one look at the absolute acid trip that is Tamers12345’s "Braeburn’s Incestuous Tragic Gay Love Triangle" fanfic and said, "Yeah, that’s my magnum opus." Let’s start with the premise: a song about Soarin-yes, that Soarin-from Tamers12345's universe. The guy who thought, “What if Friendship is Magic but with none of the charm, heart, or coherence?" And now Princewhateverer decides, "You know what this fandom needs? A gritty, hardcore anthem about that guy!" Really? We’re elevating Tamers’ lore to brony canon now? What’s next, a tribute album to Button Mash’s mom? So, Soarin-a low-tier alicorn who got shafted by Twilight’s meddling, dumped by Braeburn (because incestuous trauma with Big Mac is apparently "comforting"), and left to lose his marbles. This is some Jerry Springer meets DeviantArt level bullshit. How the hay did we get here? Who asked for this? And why did Princewhateverer decide this was the hill to die on? Like, seriously. How do you look at a plotline where Twilight Sparkle’s "meddling" accidentally promotes Soarin to Discount Alicorn and think, "Yep, that’s the emotional depth my song needs"? This is fandom lore so cursed it makes Cupcakes look like a Hallmark special. And instead of laughing it off like a sane person, Prince thought, “Let’s write a fuckking rock ballad about it.” Let’s dissect this masterpiece of cringe. Every lyric feels like it was spat out by an angsty teen trained soley on DeviantArt breakup poetry, MCR fan songs, and a Red Bull overdose. "You are the fire that burned me down / I'm here to snuff you out" Oh no, the big bad Soarin is sad. Someone call the feelings police. What the hay is this? A diss track written by an incel alicorn OC? "Snuff you out"-bro, you’re an alicorn. What are you gonna do, flap your wings aggressively? Throw your glittery horn at them? Jesus Christ, this is more embarrassing than trying to explain to your coworkers why you still listen to brony music. "For all the shit you did to me / Killed the colt I'm supposed to be / Now you'll see" Oh no, the "poor little me" complex kicks in. We get it, Soarin-Twilight turned you into a Dollar Store Alicorn, and Braeburn broke your heart. Welcome to adulthood. This isn’t a battle cry; it’s a whiny blog post set to guitar riffs. "Killed the colt I’m supposed to be"? My dude, the colt you’re supposed to be is stuck in a fanfic that nobody sober should have watched. "Finally ** I see / The kind of mares you all must be" Ah yes, the Nice Guy moment we were waiting for. Nothing says "hardcore" like taking shots at an entire gender because someone hurt your feelings. "The kind of mares you all must be"-translation: "Wahhh, someone called me a loser on Discord, so now I hate women." Grow up, Soarin. "Beat me 'til my bones crack / I'll take every attack" Okay, who let their Wattpad OC write this line? This has big "Please step on me, mommy" vibes. Soarin, my guy, what are you even doing? This is supposed to be hardcore, not your audition tape for some Fifty Shades of Neigh AU. Princewhateverer, you're writing about a gay alicorn from a cursed fanfic universe, not Julius Caesar, you don't have to go so hard. This song has the same energy as an edgy teenager in 2011 changing their Facebook status to "You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone " after their crush rejects them for prom night. Let’s not even get into the production value. The guitars shred, sure, but they’re carrying the weight of Soarin’s sheer gayness, which, apparently, is so overwhelming that it seeps into every note. By the time the chorus hit, I half-expected the track to pause for a spoken-word interlude about how Celestia’s banishment of Luna was secretly a metaphor for systemic oppression. It's like they tried to bottle lightning and ended up with lukewarm soda. It’s your typical Princewhateverer fare: loud guitars, screamed vocals, and enough overproduction to make Skrillex blush. But this time, it feels hollow. You know when someone tries to sound "hardcore" but just ends up looking like a guy in a Hot Topic shirt yelling at his mom for bringing him the wrong flavor of Doritos? That’s this entire song. It’s like Prince took all the worst parts of his previous work (anything not Pinkies Parties), mashed them together, has Tamers add his "secret sauce" and sprinkled in some extra cringe for flavor. Look, I’m all for artists branching out, but maybe don’t plant your creative flag in the toxic swamp that is Tamers12345 lore. This isn’t the Princewhateverer we knew and loved; this is a shadow of his former self. A burnt-out husk, if you will. "Burn Me Down" isn’t just a bad song-it’s a cultural crime against bronies. Princewhateverer didn’t just burn down his legacy with this one, he pissed on the last remaining ashes of the brony fandom for good measure. If this is where the future of brony music is headed, then maybe it’s time for us to pack it in and pretend this fandom peaked with "Discord" and "Rainbow Factory." 1/10. The "1" is for the faint hope that Prince can recover from this and stop writing tracks that sound like they were ghostwritten by Tamers12345 while mid-diaper-change. Do better. Or don’t. P.S. Screamo guy ruin it.
