I keep seeing people do this with capacitors and other electrical components. Even if this wasn't the stupidest idea ever, you are literally causing instantaneous dielectric breakdown. Your path to completing the circuit is via the body of the capacitor. Any capacitor would be immediately useless after doing this

It only needs more than 10 mm to complete the welding of a solder joint. The heat input is concentrated, and the time to complete the arc discharge is fast, which does not cause continuous heating to the workpiece, so as to achieve the effect of cold welding.
