Principle of Karger's algorithm for computing a minimum cut

This video illustrates Karger's algorithm which a randomized algorithm for computing a minimum cut in a graph. It is shown with animations. Selecting an edge is like the edge becomes electric. Merge nodes look like molecules of atomic nodes.
The music of Mendelssohn - Romance sans paroles n° 47 suits perfectly. I do not know why.
