Maybe not the building climbing, but there are many mechanics in this game that are not explained thoroughly, yet used constantly by the massive majority of the player base that aren't explained to beginners.

Honestly, as a player with ~4000 hours clocked in the game, I never knew about that biolab -wall- tree jump at 23:21. Thanks for sharing that :)
@Drunkengoose19934 жыл бұрын
15:36 This one was kind of a footnote but is a HUGE tip. If you see an enemy that is far enough away outside of your effective engagement range (e.g. you have an SMG or other cqc weapon) and they don't see you, Q spot them (be careful that you're not too close that they can hear your character's callout) and now you essentially have wallhacks on them and can hunt them much easier until youre in an engagement range that you can win. Understanding the effective range and damage drop-off of the weapon you're using is huge too. I see far too many new players trying to kill targets at like 100m with a CQC damage model weapon like an SMG. All you're going to accomplish at that range is alerting enemies to your position, wasting an entire mag, and then getting sniped in this face by an infil. Great video commander. All this stuff I've learned instinctively from so many hours in the game, but I imagine it must be difficult to put yourself in a new player's shoes and try to explain the concepts that seem obvious to us veterans.

Great video. There is also one more usefull thing lot of people still dont use: - when you use a lift your fall damage is removed for few seconds (doesn't mater if it is the yellow for going up or the blue one for going down) * you can use this to get down towers quickly or to get from a fight or when ever you need to get down somewhere fast. Just touch the lift (dont have to ride it the all the way) run to where you want to jump and jump (you have only few seconds before the fall damage is back but once you are in the air you should land safely)

Personally you should address the "Ostrich effect" (An ostrich sticks its head into the dirt, so now he believes he is invisible) where new players will hold a peek that they think is cheeky but in reality they become an easy target. I have seen too many BR 1-15s hold angles that are just down right dumb to hold, and they think that since they cant see me, it must work both ways. Teach things like right angle peeks( you know, the peek where you can safely hide your head behind cover while shooting from an angle).

One of my favorite paths to flank is at NC Arsenal. Take the teleporter and go to the left. You can jump up the rocks and walk through a small crack between 2 peaks. You can hop from this space to B(?) Point roof directly

About the base specific sneaky paths : there is one at Snake Ravine Lookout on Indar ; next to the spawn, there is one of these « towers » with a phalanx turret, you can easily jump from it to get into the tree and reach the point or just take a look at the fight outside of the facility’s walls (and get some nasty sniper kills if there is a big fight going on). It’s incredibly useful when defending it.

Man, I've got over 1,000 hours into this game and never knew about some of those areas where you can wall jump/climb. I've seen people climb other crazy areas, but have been unable to mimic it without the maxed catlike implant. I highly recommend other players to play around with catlike 5 when they get it. You might find some new unexpected angles to flank from.
@strikeforce15004 жыл бұрын
One recommendation during a fight in a cqc, especially in the Capture Point (CP), try to put as much thing between you and the enemy. The CP itself gives some cover, but if you find a tall console/terminal in the middle of a room, use it to outflank the enemy, think outside of the box. You planned to come out from the left? Frick it, go for the right. Also, Indar trees, especially the top of Palms are stupidly good to hide in

I've found this usefull while palying with elevators: If you go up or down an elevator, you will have a few seconds of fall damage immunity, meaning you wont take damage from falling from a great height. But something I found is that if you land, and then jump every few seconds, this keeps the fall damage immunity going. This is usefull when defending at a tower base. For example, you can take the elevator up and start running towards one of the air pads, if you jump every few seconds, you can fall off the air pad and not take any damage, allowing you to sometimes get the drop on some people.

Welp, I finally made it into a Cyrious video. I can now scratch that off my bucket list. Now to get you to talk about the issues of high skill players/skillfits like the Goblins and sometimes even Recursion or Merc who go out of their way to ruin every single fight for the rest of us. Anger aside, it's nice to see you making videos again, feels like you and Cami are the only two people in the community who actually make proper, detailed educational videos that isn't obnoxious or lacks tact.

Visibility - Sensitivity - Setting *Perseverance Maneuvering - Recoil Control - Situational Awareness - Aiming I'd add Perseverance after settings, being a new player you will die, a lot, you should know this AND expect this to be the norm, and you must take every death and learn from it instead of getting upset. After every death you need to look back, analyze and learn, then get back up and do it all over again. 10-100 matches will NEVER be enough to 'git-gud'.

I know you always push subscribing, but I have just done it finally! Watched so many of your videos and they really help me get back to PS2 without it being too overwhelming. If you get a chance for another video, would you do a smurf alt and show the best starter loadouts for each class up to BR 15? I have 1 on each faction and it was fun to strongly kit out a medic (NC with fully kitted assault rifle, revive grenade and 4/5 medic gun), c4 fairy (VS with silenced rifle and c4) and long range heavy (TR, battle rifle and 6x scope) by rank 15 on each char. I come from MMOs like WoW so having the right gear/talent set up was a huge part of why I wanted to come back to PS2. It's a great game for either 30 mins of play or 4 hours!
