I'm using a 0.6mm nozzle on the neptune 3 plus but I can't seem to get rid of the stringing whilst using uncle jessys prusa profiles. Do you have any recommendations for setting?

I’ve seen stringing on some cheap nozzles that have a bit of a chamfer around the inner diameter. Have you tried a different nozzle?

No matter what I do, my large prints are estimating 4kgs of filament and 6 days of print time. It's almost like it's trying to print every single object, solid, and not using infill parameters.

Shouldn't you use a CHT-Nozzle to increase volume flow to get faster results? If you use a 1mm nozzle, the volume flow would limit how fast you can print...
@DeathCoreGuitar
@DeathCoreGuitar Жыл бұрын
It's just depends on how capable heater/extruder is, CNC kitchen has a video on how much material every available extruder can melt and push
@oleurgast730
@oleurgast730 Жыл бұрын
@@DeathCoreGuitar Actually CNC Kitchen also shows the increase in volume flow you can get with just changing the nozzle to a CHT. The Neptune 3 has the same printhead on all 3 models. It has no long meltzone (like a volcano or super volcano would have). So for higher volume flow you need a) higher printing temperature (downside: more stringing) b) longer meltzone (can also increase stringing and is some work to do; you have also readjust bed leveling probe and part cooling) or c) increase contact area by using a cht design. Of course you can combine theese techniques to get even more volume flow. But definitly just changing the nozzle to a CHT is the most easy way. It does not matter how capable the heater is. There is normaly not the problem. The limiting factor is the transfer of the heat to the filament.
