after playing for the last two years, I've finally decided to create and release fonts. Mostly because of your video. Which was so exciting to me, I could barely sleep last night. I've been a calligrapher and free lance artist/graphic designer for over forty years, teaching for thirty five of it (now to get over my dread of filming, and I'll do classes- you are ah-dorable, but this old lady still likes to think I may not be what most would like to look at, but I know a lot of stuff that others might want to know! I am loving your designs. You are awesome. I am becoming your fan. I also love to make text based designs but I am little bit confused. 1. Do we need to check the words for trademark or copyright before using them? 2. If yes, then where to check? 3. If no, then can we use any words? 4. Will you make detailed video to throw a light on this issue? It will be very helpful. Thanks in advance 🙂

so.... 1. If it's an expression you might have heard somewhere- yes. But a lot of things don't require checking, it's based on what you wanna write (care to give an example?) 2. Many places to check online, also depending on your country of origin and the country of the platform. I don't use these things much as I mostly do art, but I have listed to check out TM sites. (I plan on simply Googling "trademarked words for tshirts" and stuff like that, so you can also try that) 3. You can use words and phrases that are not trademarked by others. So, for example, saying FML is not allowed- as that was an expression coined in a Netflix TV show. 4. Maybe in April, for now I am more art focused, also holiday and jigsaw puzzle focused, and those have less trademarked words...

Being my name is Melodye I love music lol 😂 but not all my designs are about music I have a million and one designs but your so good at what you do I can see the joy you get when you do this I have discovered that joy just this year I love to design it feel natural for me I wish I started along time ago but from this moment forward I always say. Hey Mey! I love the design videos! Just have a quick question, have you heard of a print on demand site called Contrado? I think they’re in the UK and they have the best selection of things to print on, all the usual suspects but also things like tea light candle holders, storage tins, chopping boards…all sorts. But no one seems to be talking about them, I wondered if you’d heard about them? Also, do you have any experience with Spoonflower? I’ve just signed up with them but haven’t uploaded anything yet…so many sites not enough time! Hope you have a lovely day, it’s beautiful here in the UK today so I’m about to do some “work” in the garden (with a book and an ice cream!) xx

Wow I just love watching your videos and again I learned so much in this one!! I do find it hard sometimes to catch all the little tips and tricks such as how did you brighten the words instantly? Also how did you change it so you could do caps only on a font that mixes them up? I am still learning so much about to open my first store and I love your enthusiasm and desire to help thank you so much!! I think it's all in ... my favorite game "what does this button do" Go to canva and just click on things :) All caps ?? Just clicked on Caps on my keyboard LOL Brighten - there are so many effects for Canva text (I don't remember which ones I used in this tutorial, but usually shadow ones with white shadow :)) Just try everything yourself, test it out, when your mind is clear and you're feeling creative and you'll get it done :) You're opening a shop on RB? good luck :) do you have a specific niche or style in mind ?

@@MeyTribe What does this button do, that’s funny 😀 yes it’s a long process of trial and error and I’m loving learning all the tips and tricks as I go and not beating myself up for doing it the long way sometimes for a while. Yes I have a niche it will be a lot to do with sovereignty/freedom merchandise. Once I have my store up and running whichever shop I choose possibly fine arts to get the free website to start. I will share it with you in your Google Docs. Thanks for spending all the time you do to help others I know it can’t be easy sometimes but wow you sure are pushing your edges good for you!!!!

@@MeyTribe Thank you for replying! Funnily enough it's about mass consumerism, the consumer society in America and in the novel the Great Gatsby. Yes, I sort of understand their terms for using their designs, I'll still have to read a bit more about them before I start using Creative Fabrica, though (so far I've only bought a few things, but never used the sub). But like I said, I get so excited watching your videos that instead of writing I have multiple tabs in my brain working on new designs and ides in the background and in the end I get very little done, which is why I don't want to get the CF subscription right now, but I will want to get it as soon as my thesis is done. This is why I was wondering if the discount has a time limit as in "get it now while the offer lasts" or if I'll still be able to get 30% off whenever I decide to get their subscription. I want to add a smiley face, but my knowledge of youtube comments is limited xD
