Thankyou this tutorial has been MOST HELPFUL ! Im a total newbie to etsy and i'd just like to know what you recommend for testing each product out eg - printing in all the different sizes...? I dont want to offer too much but for the slightly larger sizes, i dont have a printer that will print to that size.... would I have to get something professionally printed each time just to check the quality ?? my worry is, is that it might look crap or not good enough and then i get a negative review ! How do sellers go about this with EVERY product ?? thanks x

Tip for anyone confused with maintaining dpi while using jpg files. First download the image file from canva as a PDF print (with CMYK color quality) which will be set at 300 dpi as default as these are vector files. Then convert the PDF to jpg using an online free converter. Converting PDF to jpg will ensure that the dpi remains at 300. You can always check the image properties to make sure the image is at 300 dpi and is the correct height/width in pixels.

Designing art at the largest 2:3 size of 24"x36", do you ever experience issues with lost detail printing at the smallest size of 4"x6". I guess it all depends on the level of detail put in to the large original. Just wondered if it's worth doing two versions in each Aspect ratio to account for the scope of the size range. Maybe the largest size and then another mid range. That way you as the artist can make the decision what detail is missed when 24" is scaled down to 4" for example. Just wondered what your thoughts are.

I hand draw my art clean them in photoshop and size them in photo shops. my each file in RGB color 300 dpi high quality are around 7 to 11 mb......I know thats how good quality files are that what I have learnt. so my curiosity is are those canva files are good quality means do they give good result? as I saw your entire folder was 503 KB . asking this because my struggle with offering various size on Etsy as they have limit of 15 mb file. I hope I am making sense. as I am still exploring this more.

Hi there! The maximum size Etsy allows is 20 MB. The size of your files really depends on the graphics you are including in them. There are ways to reduce the size without compromising the quality. Try doing a Google search for tools/converters that reduce your JPG size but still keeps the quality. I would then test this and print it to see how it looks. Hope that helps!

Hi Sandra, thank you for your tutorial! I know that it is necessary to print a slightly larger area than is needed and then trim the paper down to the required finished size. Do you have bleeds = 1/4" on each side of your posters if they backround isn't white?
