This is excellent Ian. I used Lightroom for years to print to a Pro-1000 and I never knew this! But I now use Canon’s Professional Print & Layout software which does all these calculations under the hood. I assume!

Print resolution in electronic files is measured in pixels per inch, and is clearly labeled in all of your Lightroom screen captures as ppl, not dots per inch or dpi. Why do you persist in labeling the print resolution of electronic files as dpi? Your recommended strategy of knowing the electronic resolution of a file printed at a particular size in ppi and not overriding that with a lower ppi number is good. Just curious as to why you always label electronic file resolution as dots (dpi) when dots can refer only to ink.

Hi, the dpi settings in the screenshots are related to the printer driver which will use dpi

Units for print resolution where the checkbox occurs in Lightroom Classic are ppi, pixels per inch. That is clear from the title page of your video. The point of your video is really great - know the resolution of your electronic files at the size you are planning to print , and you can choose to let Lightroom Classic up res them to 360 ppl or 720 ppl.
