Ok so whoever is going to buy marco raffine colored pencils your going to be dissapointed they are just bank robbing you it has the quality of 12 pack faber castle colored pencils for school just with a few variety of colors there's not even a single proper skin tone or it's to peachy color or the browns are to redish has red undertones or olive oil undertones for 2 of the browns

I have always preferred Marco Raffine. In my experience, Prismacolor is difficult to sharpen, a lot of breakage, trying three different sharpeners, both manual and electric, and a manual being a Prismacolor brand.

Yasmine Thanks for watching!! It’s a bit of a toss up. The Staedtler pencils are wax based, which can be tricky when layering many colors on top of each other to get the right skin tones. But the quality would likely be better than the Marco Raffine! But if you’re a beginner, I’d recommend the Marco Raffine pencils, due to the large color range, and their ease of use. And they’re CHEAP! 😄

Thank you so much for your reply! I was very unsure about buying the Marco Raffiné since i read some comments stating that there is little color variation even though they contain 72 pencils. I also want to ask , are they considered longlasting or do they break a lot and thus don't last very long ?

The color is definitely not as saturated as other brands, that’s for sure. But the core is very hard, and in my experience they don’t break any more than any other pencils!

Not trying to be rude in anyway so please don’t be offended but from my perspective and having a lot of practice and experience using prismacolor, you can blend out the colours a lot better than that

You’re right! Prismacolor definitely could have been blended together with enough time. However it was just my experience that the other brand blended a little easier without having to spend a lot of time working at it ☺️

AdamDrawsStuff fair enough. Really depends on what your drawing and how you’d like it to look I guess. Personally I prefer prismacolor because I can get a very creamy and soft tone with them but I only draw portrait. I will admit that I found prismacolor are not the best for finer details because they are so creamy.

Please don't use music. People with autism spectrum disorder, certain learning disabilities, or any type of sound sensitivity may struggle. I find it so annoying that I cannot watch even though I was about to buy some Raffine pencils!
