i do think this set is a breath of fresh air, it doesnt feel like a cash grab, it doesnt have as much hype as surging and prismatic so people are going to be able to probably get this set at retail, has alot of nice pokemon that are underappreciated, namely salamence and the zorua line, some very sick IRs and SIRs like clefairy, ribombee, swinub, noibat, articuno I do think that it will be undervalued a few months after release, but i think the big hitters like salamence, articuno, lillies clefairy and ns zoroark will 100% go up in the future after the price dip after release.

I don’t know what everyone else is seeing but I see a very great looking set so far they haven’t even revealed most of the cards yet. Those Trainer art cards looked familiar but distinctive at the same time. That Lily card is going to be insane to get in my opinion. I just think it’s just a matter of time until everybody comes to a consensus that it’s a good set. Hopefully everybody figures it out after I secure mine.😂

I was just at target this morning and Excel was just there stocking and I saw at least 50 ETBs and tons of the other products. I grabbed 2 etbs to open so it’s still coming. I’m in a large metro.

Good video. I'm still pretty pessimistic. Online seems to sell out in fractions of a second. I can't live at local retail or stalk vendors. Both online and in person shelf life of these products has to be days not essentially zero.

As a player, this set to me is more for the actual game. Rotation happens exactly when the set comes out so we will be needing new cards to replace the old cards we lost. Also Atlanta is having a tcg regional the first week Journey together is legal, so keep an eye out for a spike in competitive cards since players will be looking for them

I think it doesnt matter what cards are in journey together because every sv booster box is about $150+ plus you get a box topper that may have very well been the chase card of the set(it wouldve been for me) I pre ordered 6 booster boxes at gamestop for $143 each. Gonna rip at least 1 to get the promo, keep at least 2 sealed, and sell at least 1 to get the dca down some.

Here in the UK the Journey Together PC ETBs are pre selling on eBay for around £140 where Prismatic PC ETBs are around £170 so not much difference really there considering the set difference I think PC ETBs will sky rocket if they keep not releasing on release day like prismatic but I think journey together looks a cool set but it’s being down played because prismatic is so good

I think this new set has very good to great arts. That being said, it feels a little stellar crown-ish to me. And stellar crown is my personal favorite main set of this era. I just feel like thats where the prices should be for this set for individual cards, but with this market, prices will most likely be 1.5-2x on where it normally would be. Nothing you can do about that other than just wait. Definitely getting the articuno in 10 though. Also getting a booster box or two for my sealed collection and thats it. Team Rocket inches closer and closer lol

I love this set, the combination of Pokemon and trainers always hits with me. Any motivation for Prismatic has gone for me, I’ll be saving my money and be hopeful Journeys is normal situation where I can get hold of some and just be happy and giddy to open packs. As it should be!!

These “restocks” online are waves of 10 and they limit 3 per person. They sell out within 30 seconds. We need a restock that lasts hours or days. A distributor that has hundreds of boxes thats listed up. Target & walmart have to drop restocks that size at some point right…Right?!

I think this set will definitely be a bit of a comedown after prismatic. And I like that. It’s smaller, won’t have any 2k cards, probably not even any cards much over 100 or 200 bucks and hopefully it will keep a lot of the scammers away . They’ll come back for rocket, but it will be nice to have some breathing room for a few months.

This is a clear IR chase set instead of SIR which means it’ll likely flop overall but should be a fun rip and one to collect and hold onto long term.

At this point, I'll probably end up just buying singles for Journey Together. Unless I'm completely off, I agree that this isn't a banger set and I'm not seeing the SIRs/IRs that I want costing more than a case of BBs, which is usually what I rip per set. On top of that, I see the current BB at $200+/box hamstringing near-term sealed investment potential.

Excited for the set. Not enough to pay more than MSRP. I’m seeing a lot of sentiment that this is worth skipping and I hope people stick true to that. I think if I’m this set had two more trainers like maybe like a Sabrina’s Alakazam or Morty’s Gengar things would be a lot different but trainers from gen 5 and onwards aren’t held with such high regard in the west as they are in Japan. More curious what other trainers we’ll see in subsequent sets.

If I remember correctly the press release for Journey Together said there would only be 10 IRs which is kind of crazy. The very small size of this set automatically makes it less desirable for me personally. There are some beautiful cards in it, but I don't think I'll be ripping any of it.

As a trainer collector I’m happy but I do wish some things were different. Idk how to feel about the pokemon full art’s with the trainers in the back. And the SAR Trainers pokemon look pretty cool so far but I think for some I was just expecting more lol. Thought N’s Zoroark would be CRAZY but it’s kinda just a close up of them…doing something 🤷‍♀️? Beautiful art. Just wish it was zoomed out I suppose.That’s ok though. Not all cards have to be crazy 😂.

Pokemon Center sold out in less than 30 minutes on this set. There may be inventory shortages on this set as Pokemon is focusing fully on reprinting Prismatic Evolutions. If they ignore this set, then this set will RUN. This set is also opening higher than Surging Sparks, which points to higher value than Surging Sparks. Those choosing to sit this one out, are going to lose out.
