Agreed I don't think that's the written tempo. I play this in my brass band and tackling those semiquavers would be an absolute killer at that speed! It's a great concert opener and Alan Fernie writes and arranges some brilliant music.

Oh dear... if only you foolish people knew for why this piece was penned, and how much the composer dislikes it. Fernie mocks a fellow composer's style, as that composer's songs sound cliche and vaguely similar.
