Tom Camp it’s not about being in prison or not for me , as a cook for 22yrs I can garuntee if you sold this type of food from a food truck or restaurant style setting and didn’t tell anyone it was created from prison recipes I highly doubt anyone would know, apparently you can’t appreciate someone coming out after being locked up and being positive and doing things in a positive manner 🙄

Hey Debbie from B-more ; I love seeing y’all guy in the kitchen cooking; I may my husband 14 years ago while working in the prison he at ; in which he did 9 years for selling of drugs ( 3 rd strike) he would make me some of dishes he cook while he were doing his time ; unfortunately he pass away stomach cancer after 3 years being released and a years after our first years anniversary. So y’all make my day . And for people who down on someone who’s have been incarcerated; everyone deserve an second chance. I were to the most wonderful man ; he were by everyone; I could not tell my mom he have pass away because she loved him like he were her son . R. I . P William love you always and forever 💕💕

These are meals you do on special occasions..super bowl, NBA games, holidays, shit like that. Not everyday. You save up food for meals like these.

like previous comment said, probably only meals for special occasions, but it may also be a sort of "pot luck" of some sort, where numerous prisoners within the circle pitch in something to the meal, making it substantially less expensive. ofc. everyone who pitched in gets a portion of the meal.
