What a watch. Bless you Marvin. I could see how tired and drained you were by the end. This interview took it all out of you. You have been through so much. All of it understandable . I wish you and your family all the very best. You’re a good man. I’m glad you’re here . Keep telling your story you’ve inspired me so much today. Rest up inbetween and look after your health. Good luck with your all your future goals . Sensitively handled James - great interview.

Real men don't wear masks, real men have heart. Two stars talking real talk, love it, respect guys! Marvin's closing remarks on addiction and the madness are spot on ... "You can get out of it straight away, tell yourself, don't be waiting for someone to tell you, you don't need ANYONE to tell you, you can tell yourself ("Think for Yourself") that you can change and you can get clean and your life will change, you'll SEE it happen ... if you tell yourself your gonna do it YOU'LL DO IT! Top work guys! P.S. Don't trust the system!

I used to chat to Marvin regularly in Manchester center years ago. I was usually doing vegan events on stalls outside Manchester arndale.I remember trying to help him have hope and getting him to see theres loads more he can do in life. I think he said he was trying to write or writing poetry at the time. I'm glad hes ok and going in the right direction.

When he says he felt his mates knew what happened to him, it took me back. I had debilitating anxiety about that, I couldn't take the thought, ended up living like a hermit. Av never resorted to heavy crime, have resorted to shoplifting but couldn't take the idea of robbing anyone creating the same mental torture that had been inflicted on me. Fuck me, thinking back it has taken a long time and hard mental gymnastics to get to wear I am today, keep the chin n keep on keeping on.

To have been through your story/life and come through the other side alive is amazing. You come across as such a down to earth, genuine man. Listening to your interview was hard mate, hearing about the things you've been through was difficult, although interesting as well being a Manchester lad too and knowing the different clubs, areas and places you mention. Keep up the good work both of you.

This episode really touched me. You can feel that Marvin even through all of the pain and hurt, abandoned by society that he still remains a gentle soul. The way we treat drug addicts is one of shame to us all, they were born victims and continued to live victimised by a society that does not accept them. Marv has so much potential to change for good, his story isn’t over yet, he just has to find belief in himself and he could help so many of our vulnerable.
