This one is special. Someone knows a bit too much about murdering, but of course the ones that get caught are generally around 10 IQ and wouldn't write a story this well. This should probably have a trigger warning for the rest of us, but it wouldn't likely save any lives. The consequences aren't far off either, visit any closed prison and try to tell yourself you're imagining things. They're still there, and if you're anything like me, they'll want you to stay. Even numbered or not, 46 really is a stupid age. I'll feel better at 48, but 50 is an unwelcome milestone. I'm not as good as I was, and it's all downhill from here, but you won't find me in prison, or in Hell. I'll never go back.

SPOILER: I don't comment often and I don't have much to say other than this is by far one of my favorite stories. This one was so incredibly well written. I loved that hearing that he isn't remorseful makes you hate him, but at the same time we are able to get into his head so it'd be shocking if he was. I also loved that not only was he punished in the end (in a way that I at least was satisfied by) but the lead up wasn't incredibly obvious, if you ignore the title lol. What I mean is that it can be quite obvious when a character is written to be so hatable that you will celebrate when they are killed off or get their comeuppance. It feels forced and takes me out of the story if they are the main character, side characters I can get over. Here, to me at least, his fate was ambitious (up to a point obviously lol). It just felt like we were hearing the journal of a man with untreated OCD and ASD turned serial killer's life story. Also, as a black person with suspected OCD, I often eye roll at black villains/antagonists, because they can lean mostly ever lean into Stereotype Land. In this story, I actually really didn't mind and somewhat appreciated him being black in a way. I can't fully explain it, but him being black of course was what killed him kinda, and still played a roll because ya know life, but it wasn't all that mattered. I, also, really like the bit were his fellow black inmates called him crazy, so the separation was there. Most people aren't going to look at this and think "See! All of them are bad!" Idk really how to explain what I mean, but I tried. He was a horrible person because he was a horrible person. All in all great story that made me think about my own life choices and spirituality (I'm thinking about converting to Islam even as a pagan). I take back what I said about not having a lot to say lol.
