This freaked me out as a kid in the early 90's.She was Dorothy Burke the Erinsborough High School principal in Neighbours by day ... and a psycho killer inmate on Prisoner by night :o

I really wish they had furthered this storyline. Killing herself at the end seemed a bit wasted to me, they could have easily developed her character a lot more.

It was too much for the viewers in Aus in the early 80s. I think the storyline ended because of complaints.

That woman scared the crap out of me. When she first came to Wentworth, I loved her hair, It reminded me of Vera's, but then I realized how much of a psycho she was. The scenes with poor Bobbie and that man whose wife just gave birth to twin girls really freaked me out. And that music that's really scary. That woman is a good actress.

They also used to regularly cut hangings on ITV, apparently Meridian was the only one that showed the whole thing without cutting any of it (they stopped at about 575 and never finished the series though).

I remember the episode where Bev cuts Bobbie's hand on Central TV being pretty grim! She was an interesting character-almost a shame she wasn't in it for long!

mistofoles Haha. I never noticed that before. Good on Judy giving Myra the signal that Bev had picked up the scissors that she was going to stab Rita the social worker with. Good on Myra for hitting Bev as a warning for any threats on people's lives.

I just wanted to say that where Bev cuts Bobbi's hand, there's two shots missing, in the full version you get a closeup on Bev's face and another close up on her cutting the hand.

They also showed some parts of Edna Pearson's poisoning storyline. I remember Marlene talking to Judy about a bottle of lemonade that had tiny bits of lemon rind in it. The bottle was laying on its side beside the sink, and Marlene knocked it off the side and it smashed.

Brilliant stuff. Wasn't there a little bit more of Bev's storyline? As I am sure there was more scenes, when I watched some of Bev's episodes on Channel Five. Marlene finding Bobbie's injured hand, Bev getting weapons like a knitting needle and sharpened knife from Lou, Bev burning her hand in the press in front of Judy, Myra, Dot and Lou, Myra and Judy plotting to drug Bev and getting Marlene to help trick Bev into drinking drugged tea.

Lagging on Bev Baker is what should happen, she isnt a normal prisoner and the lagging rule is inconsistent, Myra and Bea lag, other prisoners lag, Kate Peterson was even lagging to the police but only Eve Wilder pushed it to far to the point of getting killed
