I like Deputy Governor Carlson too. He would be fantastic as Governor or a high ranking officer at Wentworth. He could have brought some trouble for the Freak!!. I wonder how she would handle him?. Yeowza! This is primarily a test post, with not much to say about this specific episode. I, for the last ten/fifteen or so episodes ended up in some type of KZbin weirdland, where I could see episodes but the comments were not available to either view or add to. So I did a bunch of phaffing around (I am not particularly comp. literate except for the basics that everybody should know) and lo huzzah! I can now access the comment section! I have no idea what I hit or fixed, just glad that it worked, because your (general you) comments add to the pleasure of each epi. e.t.a. I apologize if my following thoughts are redundant and have been expressed before. As I said, I have not been able to read comments for a while and I am far to lazy to go back....... So, actually commenting upon the last few episodes, I am actually kind of sad that I find myself losing interest and doing a bit of fast forwarding. I am not enjoying: 1.The everlasting and tedious halfway house storyline(s) (even though I was always a Judy fan, but REALLY? it has gone on long enough, and to a man, each character from her assistant to the various tenants are snorefest fodder:)))) 2. The move to the men's prison, mainly because the premise seems so ridiculous - would in real life the female prisoners not be farmed out to various other women's prisons? And actually intaking new prisoners (e.g. Maxie and that friend of Officer Powell) really stretches credulity beyond what one ignores for the sake of a storyline. I can close my eyes to reality with the best of them, but sometimes my eyelids will not stretch that far downward........ 3. No resolution wrt Officer Ferguson and her hand in everything that has gone down. Also, why have her diaries not been found? Fields retrieved them from the files in Davo's office. Would they not have been with her/on her person and not burned up, if she died of smoke inhalation? I have read, unfortunately, enough unmarked spoiler (people - please stop doing that for us first-time viewers!!) comments to know that ((SPOILER!!)) Ferguson eventually gets her comeuppance, but I do not know how or when. I just hope it happens soon, and I also hope that the women get the heck out of the men's prison and back into their own space. As an aside, it is amusing how they complained ad nauseum about the conditions of Wentworth, but it now seems like paradise compared to their current situation! Anyway, I really hope that my waning interest is just a product of a temporary storyline slump, because the first 300 episodes of this show that I never heard of before this past summer have kept me entertained, and furthermore made me completely interested in Australian culture, to the point that I have been traveling down the Google rabbit hole, researching various Aussie 'Oznessity' :)))

I couldn't stand Carlson at the beginning, but he's starting to grow on me a little now. The way he protected vulnerable Andy was quite touching. I can live with his tough side if he has a compassionate side to him as well. Meg was wrong to put Bea into solitary. She needs her eyes testing badly because it was Chrissie who started the fight not Bea. Val stood up to Colleen admirably. She was right when she told her that her work has turned her sour. The change in her has been very noticeable over the years, but more especially since Vera left, of course.

It's a really OLD looking place, all those bricked up windows and those stairs that go round and round? Colleen and Val must have been school mates or housewives and mates before Colleen became a screw.Again I say the women are lucky that they have a toilet right next to their cots. If they need to go in the night , they don't have to wait for the screw on night watch to walk the corridors.That office that the suicide boy's father is in looks just like the office Dr Miller bought way back in the 100s. You'll recall when they were in the rec room Margo said that the only way it would work is her way, which is what trips her up later on. Also early on in the laundry room she found the cleaning fluid which is what she used to make the Molatov cocktail; so she knew what she was doing all all along. Her lying to Bea was so she could do it without Bea interfering. Just decided to add this: remember Bea was been acting very nonchalant about the womens problems. Chrissy mentioned to Margo in the laundry room that maybe she(Margo) could take over as Top Dog. I think this was Margo's way of making a move yet again to be top dog. If things had gone the way Margo had planned,she could have taken credit for starting the big fire which allowed Bea to take the freak down .instead it all backfired

Carlson is actually a decent Deputy Gov: firm but fair. I’ve always liked the fact that he’s looked out for No-Mates Andy as best he could because he knew that Panda Eyes was just too weak to manage on his own. Andy had a pop at the wrong one there. Carlson & Po-Face sitting in a tree ... now that would be an interesting pairing. Poor Hazel... and ohmahgah Nola McKenzie is on her way. Latham starts a fight and Bea ends up in Solitary. Whatever Meg. And again - if Chrissie cared so much about Elizabeth she would have swallowed her ego and sorted out the situation with her sister-in-law properly. It’s good having Fergo-free episodes for a while.

I was born in April 1982 so l was too young and missed the show when it first aired over here. When l was about 6 years old that's when l 1st started watching the show. I always knew that it was just acting & knew it wasn't real. But l still watched the show. I remember most of characters. But l never fully understood the storylines. So now watching as an adult - have really enjoyed watching this show - enjoyed most of the storylines & the characters & being able to understand what's happening. 30 years on & still addicted to this show. I haven't watched the remake/Reboot what ever u wish to call it. Which l have chosen to snub the remake. The original show will always be the best. Even if they did have wobbly walls 😂😂...🙂😉. Every time Judy lets a male partner of one of the girls in the house something really bad happens. She is clueless how to run that house. Shes turned it into a boarding house. One thing that's always puzzled me is: both Colleen and Geoff are deputy governors. Yet, Geoff has three pips on his shoulders, but Colleen only has two.
