Judy's nagging of Myra and picking holes in her management is just annoying by today's standards it would be verging on bullying. She was going off at her before she got knocked out too , its going to be such a grating aspect that a character as tough and ruthless as Myra has to be , to be top dog has a whinny belly aching also ran like Bryant in the background telling her she's gone too far or not far enough each time she makes a decision and it was Judy who wanted Myra to be top dog ,cause she did not have the guts and focus to hold the position herself. If she had mouthed off at Bea in the same way she would have got slapped down as soon as she opened her sanctimonious trap.

When Meg slapped Reb I jumped in shock at how out of character that was for her, then started laughing at the absurdity of it all. Reminds me of the time when Elspeth fell about laughing in an outtake when Doreen was feeding Meg in a hospital bed in the prison. True, plus a lot of people are convinced that Sirhan Sirhan was hypnotized in just this way before he assasinated Bobby Kennedy in 1968. And yes, I agree there's a lot of stuff going on that we don't know about. However, I think Prisoner, for better or for worse, explored an area that hasn't been established as reality. .......... Again, I eventually accepted this premise, but I'd have problems if an inmate decided to build her own light saber in the work shop. Interesting discussion.

I've been to a few hypnotists. One of them helped me be relaxed and confident in a required speech class. The hypnosis sessions were very relaxing--and helped me a lot--but I never even lost consciousness. (I'm told some people lose sonscoiusness, others don't.) Both hypnotists allowed me to keep the sessions on tape, so I could use them at home. They also gave me advice for self-hypnosis. There are many reasons to love this show but one of the main ones, for me, is that it would take the wackiest of storylines and just run with it. To hell with logic, medical science and any other namby-pamby considerations. An attitude most shows would be terrified to employ. Dr.Edmonds' Rasputin-like influence on not one, not two, but three of the main characters is so far beyond ridiculous that I sit here open-mouthed in awe at the sheer audacity of the narrative. Prisoner really does make other shows feel so tame in comparison.

I was always told that you can't do anything under hypnosis that you wouldn't do in normal life ;so the idea that he can just put a few prisoners, or Meg for that matter ,under hypnosis and turn them into his own personal robots is a bit far-fetched.

I wonder if the hypnotism in this episode was based on research? I've been hypnotized many times, and it only works if I want it to. I've also read that people can't be hypnotized against their will (although both Cass and Meg wanted aspects of it to work). It is known that hypnotism has different effects on different people.

The writer who wrote Judy back into Wentworth must be a bit of a sadist , 50 episodes of Bryant back to her hand wringing over acting sanctimonious blathering worst. Judy was bearable outside in small doses running the half way house and playing social worker should have wrote her out at the same time as Bea or Lizzy character had run its course by 400.
