I live in the states, I remember seeing prisoner on tv. Decades later I saw the DVDs and ordered them from Australia. In fact, I’m watching the series again right now. Bea and Lizzie were my favorites. Despised the freak and Nola. Love seeing these reunions.

@@JohnLee-pt5jz in its first run in the US, it was beating Happy Days in the ratings. This happened in like 1981 or 1982. The best thing about Prisoner airing in the states was that we were only a week behind you guys in telecasts. So basically every new episode you saw in first tun, we got a week later. The problem though was that the US stopped buying the show around the time that Lizzie was released the first time to live at the halfway house with Doreen, so I never saw any episodes after that until the DVD's came out. For YEARS, I never saw any Joan Ferguson episodes and didn't even know that Meg got remarried. Even when the show reran in the mid 1980's, it started from the first episode and stopped at the same exact point so the US only must've bought the first 200 or so episodes

I've read many other people say that she and Val had a big falling out back in the day, and due to that, she doesn't appear at conventions so much. How much truth to that, no idea, but enough people have said it that there could be some truth to it

I wouldn't be surprised if Patsy King is still alive in 2030 when she is 100. When Patsy King is 100 in 2030 Elspeth Ballantyne will be 91 and Chrissie Latham will be about 82.
