Dempsters husband is a real piece of work, and he deserved what he got. He took Sally for granted, loved money more than his own family, and couldn't even give her the basic dignity and companionship she desperately craved. He could see what it was doing to her, and rather than accept responsibility, he just blamed her. She should have thought more about her daughter before turning to drink, but she was in a really difficult position. It's no wonder she snapped.

"Oh no love!" Rich people don't get lice. They won't share combs and hair bows with others. According to Betty Bobbit, Sheila was in a concert with them in real life, Back when Gerard McGuire was still there, Betty, Sheila, Jane,Val, Colette, and Patsy went to a real men's prison to entertain them, Only a lucky few along with their families got to see the concert. They were practicing singing a song called Steam Heat, Poor Sheila couldn't keep up with the beat of the song. It was like this, "We've got (beat) (beat) (beat) (beat) steam heat" But I need your love, to keep away the cold." Sheila kept on messing them up by "We've got (beat (beat) steam heat." or "We've got (Beat) (beat) (beat) (beat) (beat) steam heat." Or "We've got Steam heat". They said it took them a long time to get Sheila to do it right. Plus those men were treated very badly at the prison, they were given cold water and soft drinks and the men were given warm water that had sat there a while.
