The writers and directors do dictate how the actors are supposed to act out scenes... the actors themselves don't just take it upon themselves to yell out their lines lol. So the blame can go to the playwriters who maintained the character of Lexie. They should have had her calm down a bit.

When I used to watch Prisoner in the 90's, I knew how long an episode lasts and knew something dramatic would happen at the end and looked forward to it, as it did in this episode. No T.V show has ever gripped me as much as Prisoner.

Kath Maxwell and Merle Jones were so great in their mutual scenes. In a subtile way, one can see that Kath is a kind and understanding person, even though she’s hiding it from all the others except Merle. That’s why Kath, IMO, are a more belivable character than many of the other antagonists. Love the 1986 season, so far!

3 brilliant characters in at the same time. I'm feeling spoiled for now. Love Kath. Fantastic character, fantastically played. Merle is an excellent foil for Kath. Gives her even more depth with how Kath ends up so protective of Merle. A woman ostensibly introduced to be Kath's protector of course. Then there's Lorelei. This section's comedic relief. Who of course has the lowdown on Joannie. AND.. We're down to 24 episodes left of the PCBH pox that is Lexie! Counting every second till she's finally gone. I'm on my 5th go through this time. But I'm never watching the show again after this time. I can't face having to suffer through Lexie ever again. It takes too much out of me. The mere sight of her is making me angry by this point.
