My friend received early release during the covid pandemic after serving 24 years. He did not receive any good time credits he earned during this time. He's been on Home confinement for over 2 years. He jumps through all their hoops and last weekend was told he now has to drive 3 hrs round-trip every week for a drug test instead of once every 2-3 weeks. He works everyday. He has 8 more months to go. Home confinement is nice but 2/3 years is too long and what a waste of tax money. Any ideas on how to advocate this? He doesn't want to do anything that would jeopardize his freedom.

I’ve been on for almost two years and it really sucks not a day of this counts towards sentencing. I’m up for mine in august. Got hit with career criminal guidelines and went from 21-27 to 155-188 months. Deliver of heroine. 4 grams (130$) apart of a larger conspiracy but that’s what I plead guilty too. Just the delivery.

Pretrial release and home confinement is a prison in its own. Pretrial should could towards time served if you didn’t violate it and did everything they asked if you.
